It’s been over a year...

And this process has been nothing less than a headache. From miscommunications, unanswered emails, sent wrong trays and just no real answers or help. Only to go through the same drill of answers with no solutions. My plan was for 6 months and it’s over a year with results nowhere near the plan. Every problem will take 2-3 months to fix so be prepared. I may get my results in 1-3 years from now. ????

Updates on my extended progress

So when I was down to my last two aligners. The final two did not match my teeth. The mold of my tooth in the aligners did not match my actually impressions of my teeth. So SDC approved my plan for a "mid course correction".
After sending in an updated retake kit. And the impressions were approved. My 3D new smile plan was received today. About over 2 weeks later. I am currently waiting for my new aligners which can take up to 4 weeks. ????
In the meantime, I was wearing the same aligners for weeks now.
I'm going to check back with them in another week to get an update.

I will keep the progress updated. But as of right now, my bottoms are really straight! My stubborn top right tooth, not so much.

I didn't realize over the years, seeing your teeth...

I didn't realize over the years, seeing your teeth every day you don't actually notice the subtle changes and I didn't realize how overcrowded and crooked they were getting. So more than likely, they will only continue to get worse.  The middle right tooth (top and bottom) are the ones that are shifted.  So i started around June and as of today my experience has been pretty good so far.  I would like to share my PROS and CONS on things to expect: Cons:  You will get soreness and sensitivity with your teeth and gums.  My first aligners gave me sores, cuts and bumps because I wasn't used to the aligners rubbing against my gums and mouth.  If you eat/drink a lot throughout the day, you will constantly have to clean/brush your teeth and aligners.  You may talk with a lisp. Pros:  Since I am a gymrat and my metabolism is crazy, I eat pretty frequent. Meaning I have to brush and clean my mouth and aligners about 4-5 a day.  Sounds a lot but my mouth and teeth have never felt and look healthier.  Also, I apparently grind my teeth while I sleep and wake up with jaw pain at times. And since the aligners, I no longer have any pain from grinding. I have 2 more months to go but so far I am pretty satisfied and cant wait to see the end results. My bottom teeth have gotten a lot straighter but my top is slowly but surely getting there. I will give updates in a couple weeks!
