Hello All,

Ever since I can remember— I always dreamed of a new nose. Now that I am older (and able to fund my dreams) I have elected to go through with cosmetic rhinoplasty. When I really started to research surgeons was in my senior year of college. I maybe read up on dozens of the best rhinoplasty surgeons in the Bay Area but somehow I always would end up reading Dr. Kim's reviews/articles/blog posts. I know how bad this will sound but even without consulting with Dr. Kim I knew beforehand he was the surgeon for me.
I had my initial consultation with Dr. Kim about a month ago. His first question upon meeting me was, "What don't you like about your nose". I told him I disliked my bulbous nose tip, prominent nasal hump, and drooping columella. Dr. Kim agreed with all of my statements but actually pointed out another issue with my nose that I had completely forget to state! "There is an asymmetry to your nose as it points a little over to the right". Of course, how could I have forgotten?!
He sat me down an explained to me that all of my issues were correctable—he also explained in great detail whilst using charts how he would go about fixing my issues. Afterwards he was able to answer every single one of my questions without hesitation.
I decided then and there to schedule my surgery. I was also given a copy of my consultation photos via email from Dr. Kim. I have already had my pre-operative appointment at his office, which is just the nurse explaining to you what OTC/prescribed drugs you can/cannot take as well as providing you with your prescriptions (which I suggest filling out before your surgery).

I will update this post after my surgery. Right now I am feeling excited as this is something I have been wanting for years now. I know as the end of the month approaches I will feel some nervousness about the situation but I feel that is something quite normal.

Best,

C.
