Getting Re-Started with Fillers

After my not-so-impressive experience with Juvederm Volbella injectable fillers performed by Dr. Michelle Hardaway, I've decided to venture out and explore a more wholistic facial temporary reconstructure with Dr. Mabrie. After sending pictures of my face from different angles, I was contacted by one of his representatives via email alerting me to the doctor's initial recommendations with pricing - approx. $4,180 for 2-3 syringes plus a $300 initial visit fee.
I called in; set my appointment for late July; placed the $300 payment (which immediately posted to my account) and have been waiting on confirmation paperwork/receipt of payment from Mabrie's office for 48 hours. No big deal. I'll just call with a reminder tomorrow but I'm Praying this isn't an early sign of unprofessionalism amidst. In addition, after viewing his work I became so excited that I forgot to ask about his revision policy or board certification (Doh!). So now there's even more reason to callback. Long to the short of it, I pray I don't regret doing more research upfront.

You don't look like you need any fillers. You have a beautiful face. I can't imagine where you'll put 2 - 3 syringes, and I am shocked by the price. I'm getting filler tomorrow, $600 per syringe for Juvederm or $700 for Radiesse. I haven't decided yet, and I usually get 1 - 2 syringes every year or so. I'm 55 and have a very thin face with nasiolabial lines. For 4K, I'd be looking at permanent fat transfer. I've never heard of a consultation fee. Have you looked around? Gotten another opinion?

I agree with the other poster. You have a beautiful, youthful looking face. The price does seem expensive. However, I have looked at this doctor's website and he seems to be very talented and dedicated to what he does.

Not much update...

I've been trying hard to avoid thinking about the fact that for the price I'm paying for this Temporary fix I could be receiving a more Permanent solution; but I stay committed to Dr. Mabrie's results (as revealed on his website) and just focus on what I imagine the final outcome will be - a second wind at youth.
Even with a full, oval face, I oftentimes look tired and depleted - and this is what I'm hoping to eradicate. All in all, for once I'd just like to go back to not having to cake on makeup to get that glowing buoyancy I once had.

Hey sis, I have been considering and think you should consider buccal pad fat removal. If you add more to your face I don't think you will get the look you are trying to fulfill. $5K for a temporary fix is not a good investment and $300 for consult fee is a rip off. You have a beautiful complexion look into buccal fat removal, a nose job, and lose a few pounds and you can be really close to your ideal fantasia.. And most importantly it is a good investment because it is permanent!... Just stumbled across your post. It sounds like you were frustrated with little to no guidance. Please don't take any of my words offensively. Take care and good luck on your journey.

Hate to be the one...

As much as I hate the be the one to not finish down the path I started leaving others to wonder about the possible results, I have decided to forgo my appointment with Dr. Mabrie. I too thought the appointment fee was a little absorbent but after seeing how highly sought after his time was, I quickly bit. Be that as it may, I’ve witnessed too many others traveling the globe for these types of procedures spending loads of hard earned cash, only to come home and 3-5 months laters look like the never left their front door (no shade). Not to say this will happen with Mabrie; just admitting I don’t want to be the first to find out it can.

Honestly, if I were you I wouldn't change a thing. I use fillers because I've lost a lot of the fat from my face. Your face looks full and youthful and beautiful.
