Day 5 and not totally sure...

While I am glad I did it and do notice a SLIGHT difference in my under-eye circles, I'm beginning to feel like a sucker because I realized that so many other people paid a LOT less to have Restylane put in. At the time, Dr. Mabrie said he will need to do this in several injections over time, but that is not what I had originally budgeted for, so that's upsetting. In the end, he only used 20% of the Restylane in my tear troughs and put the rest in my chin, almost as an afterthought, since that was not the original plan. I'm now feeling like I HAVE to go back for more in the tear troughs since there is no change on the innermost part of my undereye, and only a slight change elsewhere. We'll just have to see I guess...

Day 2

It's day 2, and I'm seeing less bruising and swelling under my eyes than I expected to. On the other hand, there is a very dark bruise on my chin where he injected the majority of the Restalyne, which is pretty tender. I could feel it when he injected that area and said that it would leave a mark, but he demurred and insisted that this was much more likely to happen under my eyes. Goes to show that we know our own bodies better than anyone else!

Overall, I do see a difference, though it's slightly more pronounced under my left eye than my right. Also, my chin is now quite pointy, which keeps surprising me when I look in the mirror. Luckily there chin bruise is sort of on the underside of my chin, so it's really not that noticeable if you aren't looking for it.

Note that all these pics are without any face makeup.

After years of frustration with my weak/ double...

After years of frustration with my weak/ double chin and dark, sunken under-eyes, I finally decided to try some dermal fillers to see if they can help. I saw that Dr. Mabrie got excellent online reviews, so sucked it up and paid the $300 consultation fee. Today was the big day!
I arrived in a rush because I was running a tiny bit late and needed to go directly to the airport after my procedure (you get $100 of your consult free back if you go ahead with the procedure at that time). Luckily, the office staff was very kind and made me feel right at home.
For my under-eye hollows, Dr. Mabrie recommended both Juvederm Voluma (1 syringe) to fill out my mid-face, and a tiny bit of Restalyne to go directly in the hollow parts under my eyes (only about 1/5 syringe total for both eyes).
We did that and then he went ahead and put the rest of the Restalyne in my chin, with the recommendation to come back for more (though probably Juvederm) in a month to fill it out/ pull it forward. I was initially hesitant but I'm definitely considering it.
Just took a quick selfie immediately after the procedure to compare with my official "before" pics taken by Dr. Mabrie's office. I do see a difference, though it's subtle- but honestly I'd rather have a small difference than look like I've had "work". I really don't like the aesthetic of "plastic surgery face" at all so want to look as natural as possible.
