Covering thin areas with Hair Transplant

Because of Thinning all around the sides and top of scalp. Underwent hair transplant in Istanbul Turkey. The hair transplant was another journey that I believe was worth it and I am planning to return to Turkey to continue to address other areas of the scalp that are still thin and where you can see thru the scalp.

Year 2021 Post 2 Stage Surgery , Before Transplant

This pic is from 2021 post 2 stage hairline surgery but before getting hair transplant. No significant hair growth. Hair thinning persisted all around the sides of head and top of scalp. Just using vitamin supplements.

This was definitely a long journey. I did get hair grafts in Istanbul Turkey in 2022 because after four years I could not see the desired volume of hair growth along the new hair line. What remedied this was to get hair transplant. I chose Turkey because of their expert talent in hair transplant and also because it was very affordable under 1500 US dollars.

Approximately 2500 grafts. Loved the result and planning to get more grafts for other areas were the scalp is noticeable.

Awesome! Why did you get the grafts? How was your scar before? I’m looking into getting transplants after getting a terrible scar after my hairline lowering procedure

Regarding my scars/incision line , they were not significantly visible as it was covered by some if the hair except to my hairstylist she could tell. The problem I had experienced post surgery is thinning hair from all the trauma. After five years seeing that my hair was not growing even after taking good quality supplements the thinning hair persisted. Last year in the fall of 2022 underwent hair transplant surgery in Turkey to fill the thinned hair along the new hairline. Fast forward today May 2023 it is nearly six years.(August 2023 will be six years exact) The hair transplant was done by an expert who was able to tightly fill areas in and around the hair line and he also added grafts slightly beyond hairline creating a better transition and more natural look and the helped gain hair volume I needed. I am happy with the gained volume of hair along hairline very good result. I am planning on returning to Turkey, where many clinics there have proven ability to get me maximized grafts and tightly compact my hair. My new goal is to get more grafts along the top of the scalp to fill and tightly pack those areas especially the crown, the top of where I like to part my hair. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
