Day 98 - 210.6 pounds! Arghh

In almost one hundred days I have proved what I already knew... No diet seems to work when you let yourself have alcohol. Perhaps if you have the self control to to have only a glass of red wine, but a true social drinker wil have their issues.

I was trending to be under 200 which is a place I have not been since the summer until last weeks trips back East. I went out with friends in toddle of the week and let's just say that that night ended with Kit-Kats and Doritoss and then I had two work events over the weekend which ended Saturday night with me ordering Kate night chicken and waffles.

My problem is I am curbing my food choices and alcohol removes that control...so why drink?

It's a great question and I don't have the answer that makes me sound sophisticated . I have the answer that sounds like I can't seem to say no when I am situations where I feel I look bad not to drink. You cannot tell a VIP no to drinks, but after a few you become this empty vessel that keeps pouring them down your gullet.

It's sad to know the solution to a problem that you refuse to apply to fix yourself.

Day 78 Survived the Holidays

Well, I wish I was closer to weight loss than I am, but I am still learning a lot. I didn't lose any weight during the holidays, but at 203.6 I didn't gain any weight during the holidays or the month of December which included work events and a friend visiting for a week. Based on my calorie intake I would have thought I would gained.

I have joined Weight Watchers as of yesterday as well as using Fitness Pal which is fascinating to see how the two compare. WW showed me going over in points yesterday and Fitness Pal showed me using negative calories.

Day 43 - Alcohol is Bad! Up 4 pounds

Between two weeks in November that I was off for vacation I am not at my goals. I'm not even trending toward my goals. The scale showed that I was up about 4 pounds yesterday. 205.8 lbs.

I'm sure some of this was residual weekend Wright, but still...

I'm writing out a plan today now that I see many of my pitfalls. Alcohol makes you drink more calories, then eat more calories with munchies then hangover calories plus no desire to go to the gym.

I also need to post here more. I like the commitment of sticking to posting positive progress posts.
