Just like so many of you ladies here, I am so grateful for Real Self and all the personal experiences that I've been able to read and see here!!
So, finally after it's been 1 full year for me I wanted to share my story with everyone and hope that it helps other ladies who are considering surgery as the site has helped me! I'd been thinking about getting implants on and off for years, looking at many of my friends implants, their results and experiences with their surgeons, and how happy / unhappy they were with their outcomes. I'd decided it was time to get busy and see if I could find the right plastic surgeon to help me achieve the look that I wanted while also being realistic and natural.
When I called Dr. Kaplan's office and went in for my consult, I was so nervous thinking how uncomfortable it could be, being undressed and showing my sad boobs & hoping that I'd be able to look proportionate. The minute I walked in to the office and into exam room, I was completely at ease and was made so comfortable by his awesome nurses and his remarkable expertise! He explained all the different types of implants, methods of insertion, and how exactly proper sizing is done by calculated measures on my body.
With his incredible knowledge and experience, I knew immediately I wanted him to guide me on my journey & help me become an even better version of myself!
We decided on Sientra Gel implants, as they had a superior outcome on so many patients, their reputation and commitment to the highest quality ( Plus, only qualified and few selected trained plastic surgeons can perform with their implants)
He determined that I'd be best suited with the 335 cc , Smooth Round & High Profiles, and would also have a size below & above on hand in the operating room.
I would be needing a small lift as well, due to the sagging that I'd been hiding for so long with my push up bras, and I was reluctant only because I didn't want the scars ( even though I have lots of them other places on my body). He said he'd be able to minimize that, as my implants weren't so huge and he'd do an areola insertion and the lift could be done that way as well. All through the nipples!
Day of surgery was so easy, and I laughed when he said I could go home, nap, get up and go to dinner, and come home take a shower & wash my hair! When I told him I'd had my hair blown out day before surgery, and didn't wanna waste it! Then he laughed and said just the movement of getting my arms up and down would be the same benefit for stretching out the muscles....whew!! Haha
Ok, recovery was way easier than I could've imagined, lots of rest, sleeping on my back, pain was easily managed with Rx's and I was up and around in no time!
I didn't take a lot of pics through the healing process, or the first few months, only because I knew they'd drop, fluff and change over the first year & I'm not so great at chronicling .
However, I can say that I've never been happier with my decision, how much more I notice how great I look and feel, how much more confidence I have, and how empowering it is having the kind of body now that drives my man crazy! LOL!! I had to add that because I'm being honest!!
I can't ever begin to thank Dr. Kaplan for the incredible transformation he has given me, his honesty, professionalism, and magical surgical skills!!
My results have far exceeded my expectations and my life has changed so positively during this last year!!!
