Hi realself-ers! I have been planning my BA since early this year and it's finally next month! I have been reading reviews, Q&As, and advice on here and looking at pictures and videos! It has all been so helpful! I have definitely done my research but still undecided on my CCs and implants type. Likely going under the muscle though I am nervous about the implants interfering/feeling weird during my workouts. I have my sizing appt this Friday to try on different implants. I know I am a small person so I don't want anything too big. I used to have fuller, perkier boobs but exercise and age and gravity took over :( Looking at about 225-275 CCs for a full B/small C. I am also pretty muscular so I don't want the implants to look like big round balls. Still undecided on round vs shaped implants. Any advice would be helpful!!

Sizing and Pre-op
acan2October 18, 2017
Hi y'all! I had a sizing appt 9/15 to help me decide/compare sizes and projections. My surgeon's assistant basically said I should go with the bigger end since MD recommended 215-300cc for my goals. So I tried on the 300cc and I kinda felt like they were a little big but not too bad. However when I started my BA research process I originally wanted the smallest (215cc).
I had my pre-op appt 10/12 and saw my surgeon and discussed what the process will be like. I again mentioned I was not sure about what size I wanted so he did a "test" on me. Had me try on some "chicken cutlets" (as my boyfriend refers the sizers as haha) and he didn't tell me what size it was. Had me check myself out in the mirror and feel them out. Then I would say too small or too big and he'd continue changing them out, kinda like an eye exam. So the one I liked ended up being 255cc. Was initially worried that was gonna be too small but he assured me it was a good size for my goals and petite frame. Also told me I can't compare myself to other before/after pics I see because other women have different body types and different amount of natural breast tissue - which is a good point.
He gave me my prescription meds, which I picked up already - got antibiotics (Keflex), opioid pain killers (Percocet), anti-nausea (Zofran), Ibuprofen, and anti-anxiety (Ativan) - I am soo glad he prescribed Zofran and Ativan! I filled out all the paperwork and paid my total. He also told me to stop doing heavy strength training now as he wants me and my body to be in a healthy state prior to surgery. Understandable.
Over the weekend I became really nervous about my final size and looked over a lot of Real Selfers and how everyone wishes they'd gone bigger then I reminded myself I initially wanted 215cc so technically I am going bigger. I also reminded myself I am a small person and don't want it to look too big. So I am comfortable with the final choice and not stressing about it anymore.
This morning I woke up with a migraine (which I usually take Aleve for) but my surgeon said to stay away from all NSAIDS and blood thinners so I suffered for a few hours and only took Tylenol. Headache is still lingering though. I think I am just stressed out about all this and want it to be over and done with already! I am really nervous!

Prepping for the big day!
acan2October 23, 2017
Tomorrow is the big day!! I'm getting really nervous but excited! Gotta be at the surgery center at 6am! I am a pretty organized person, here are a few things I have done to prepare.
- In the fridge, I have Pedialyte and coconut water (to replenish my electrolytes), pudding, chicken soup to last for the week, and prune juice (for constipation from pain meds). I also have crackers set out in case I am vomiting. I set everything at shoulder-level since I won't be able to reach overhead.
- I put my meds in individual ziplock bags (since opening bottles will be difficult), labeled and frequency on the bag, set on my nightstand.
- I did all my laundry, washed my sheets, cleaned the bathroom, and laid out a set of comfy clothes to wear to surgery.
- I set a trash can with a garbage bag by my bed in case of vomiting.
- Tomorrow morning before I leave, I will lay out my pillows so that when I get home I can already go to bed with the pillows set up to have me up at 45 degrees.
- I showered with anti-bacterial Dial, per MD instruction, and will shower again tomorrow morning before I leave.
My boyfriend and best friend will be taking turns taking care of me for 2-3 days and I am taking 3 weeks off from work since I do a lot of lifting at work. I hope I can get some sleep tonight! Wish I could take the Ativan I was prescribed but my doctor said to try to avoid it before surgery haha.
