Things Continue to Look Good

I'm very happy with my results. It's true that you really have to be patient with the healing process and give your body time to adjust. My final post op is in about two weeks and at my last visit (two weeks ago) the doctor said that about 80% of the swelling is gone. My breasts are completely soft and squishy and there is no longer any discomfort at all. I'm pretty much back to doing my regular routine at the gym, the only thing thats different is when I do any chest exercises. I doesn't hurt, it just feels weird. For the most part, it seems that if I ease into it, I can overcome the odd sensation of the muscle moving over the implant. I think the key is to take it slow and allow yourself time to get used to it.

Time has started to fly by again now that I'm not so fixated on my breasts anymore. At week 7 I went back to the gym and resumed my cardio and heavy lifting. I was pleasantly surprised that I had no problems whatsoever - particularly with my cardio kickboxing class. I think the key was having a good supportive sports bra. I have one from Victoria's Secret, I think it's called their Knockout bra - it has an underwire, and one from Panache, also with an underwire. I really like them both. I'm avoiding any sort of direct chest exercises for the time being. Otherwise, not much is new. I can now lie on my sides with no problems. Nothing much bothers me anymore. My breasts are super soft and squishy - which I love. I was concerned for a while that maybe they wouldn't get very soft or pliable because they are textured, but that hasn't turned out to be the case at all. I wouldn't exactly call them jiggly yet, but I'm okay with that and I know there are still changes to come. The portion under each breast between the incision and the nipple is still numb but I think I can feel signs of it coming back to life. My nipples aren't hyper sensitive anymore, which is nice, but they still don't feel quite the same as before the BA, particularly when being stimulated during sex. Oh, well. I'm hoping that will continue to improve as well. Overall, I'm a happy camper. :)
Keeps getting better
I'm officially four weeks post, and as I write this, I'm almost at five. I have to say that I'm finally in a good place. I'm really enjoying having breasts now that the swelling has reduced and I no longer have to wear the little silicone donut over my right nipple as it healed. It was such a pain trying to find clothes that wouldn't show the little ring around my nipple! The burning sensation I would feel on my skin under my bra has also gone away and things have seemed to settle down. I'm still working on sleeping on my sides but it feels kind of weird. This morning I managed to lay on my right side long enough to get past the uncomfortable feeling of it so I know if I just keep doing it, I'll get used to it. My breasts also seem to be softening up some, which makes me very happy. I've managed to go to the gym now a couple of times to walk on the treadmill. I verified during my four week appointment that I'm still supposed to wait until six weeks post before going back to my regular workout routine. But for now, I can walk and do lower body and ab work.
