2 1/2 weeks post op
I haven't updated in a while. A lot has happened in the past week or so. I developed a hematoma in my right breast and had to undergo an exploration last Wednesday (1.5 weeks post op) My PS removed the hematoma and placed a JP drain. I'm glad I got the hematoma removed because my right breast was so tight that it made it very difficult to take deep breaths. Also, whenever I coughed or sneezed, it felt like my chest was going to rip open.
I have my second procedure on Wednesday and kept the drain in place until Monday (5 days) I drained 100cc the first day and slowly it decreased to 50cc, 40cc, 15cc, etc. the day that it was removed I drained 10cc in 24 hours.
Today I am 1 week post op hematoma removal. My right breast is sitting higher than the left and will lag in healing. It is much softer though and growing projection-wise. I am massaging it all around and also pushin down on it as often as I can to facilitate downward movement to catch up with the left.
My left breast is doing great. Today, I had the stitches removed. The breast is so much softer and appears to be getting bigger despite the reduction in swelling. Of course, I still get morning boob but a little massage helps a long way. I do notice there are times that I feel a sharp "stretching" of the pectoral muscle on the left side medially when I stretch and rotate my left arm to the side but PS says that's normal.
I've stopped taking pictures of my breasts everyday because I feel like I'm stressing myself out by comparing them to each other. I did compare a recent picture to the last ones that I posted and DO see a favorable difference so I'll probably just takes pictures once a week to compare. I'll try to post some later tonight.
So far, so good. A little setback with the 2nd surgery but I'm happy to have the problem fixed and be on my way to healing. I can't wait for them to even out!

Post op day 5
Had my first post op appt yesterday and was given an ace bandage to wrap around the tops of my breasts instead of the death strap. Was also given massage exercises to hopefully bring the right one down a bit
Post op day 1
I woke up this morning feeling good. Again, just pain to my mid upper back. I took 1 Vicodin with 1 extra strength Tylenol before going to bed and I slept the whole night.
I was able to take my first post op shower today. I was a little hesitant at first but the only thing I really needed to watch out for was the pain pump, which I kept out of the shower. Speaking of the pain pump, it IS working. I can see the fluid inside diminishing.
I also went to a wedding today hahaha. I felt fine during the wedding. A little sore but it wasn't bad at all.
My PS called to check in on me, which I thought was nice. He asked how things were going. My only concern today was that the left breast looks perfect and the right one looks like it's all the way up to my collar bone. He said its normal swelling and will take a look at my post op appointment. I'm still wearing the death strap, hopping it'll bring that right one down.
