Treatment 11

$1,000
Here's a pic of two weeks after Treatment 11 vs. Treatment 10. It does show some good improvement, but man is this dragging on way too long.... Going to wait a couple more months for the next treatment.

A break sounds good. I bet you'd see it fade a decent amount more if you left it for a while, then there'll hardly be anything left!

You're story is quite encouraging. I have a leg piece (with an octopus too) that I want removed and I think your results are just great. Stay positive!! (I know how hard that can be, trust me)

It's been a long process but it's looking really good! Thanks for sharing your story and all the pictures. I'm waiting for my tattoo to heal before I start the whole removal process. I'm so beside myself at the fact that the guy that did my tattoo did a horrible job. I'm looking into picosure laser. Mine is a lot smaller but still super nerves about the pain with the removal.

Treatment 10 (Again)
sb1089February 2, 2015
Hey everyone, so here's a couple more pictures from Treatment 10. It's really getting to me and dragging me down how long this process is taking for me. I seem to be getting very slow results. My tattoo was a cover up and the second artist completely DUG the outline into my skin, I remember how painful it was, to try to cover up the first tattoo.... So this outline is being sooo incredibly stubborn. Anyways, here's pictures of Treatment 6 vs 8 vs 10. (looking at every other treatment together gives me a little less anxiety) I'm going to keep pushing through. I also posted a close up of Treatment 10 just, because it is kind of a bummer for me that even the areas that are almost not visible from a distance still do have ink in them and its not fading much..... Let me know if you guys have any support/advice! Thank you.

I think you are doing great especially taken that this is a cover up! Don´t lose hope!

Did your outline have any scarring? My artist also did some pretty heavy outlines for me, and they seem to be slightly raised. Scarred I guess? I didn't know if this would inhibit removal.
February 9, 2015
Ya I guess ud call it scarring, there's a couple spots where it was like indented too, like he ripped through my skin kinda. Anyways everything is looking pretty good, and the accpulse deepfx treats skin irregularities and scarring so it can really smooth everything out, see if you can find a derm that has it to use after the piosure. Truthfully, I don't care if I'm left with some irregularities, they won't be very noticeable and will just be a silly reminder of my young adult days, and definitely will not inhibit removal; sometimes if there is scar tissue it can be a little harder for your immune cells to get in and clean out the ink but most every tattoo is removal now a days, just might require more sessions. I'm excited to post my treatment 11 results after it finishes healing.

That's great news thank you for replying. And thanks for posting your progress, really appreciate it! Good luck with the rest of your journey you're getting there! :)

Treatment 10
sb1089January 29, 2015
Moving painstakingly slow. The doctor has really told me how difficult my tattoo is! What do you guys think? There is improvement between Treatment 9 and 10, but not much! He's thinking about adding Imiquimod Cream which is supposed to increase your immune system activity to help clear the ink. I know it is moving slow but this is what I'm doing now, however long it takes, I will get rid of it! Do you guys see improvement? What do you guys think? Need some support! Thanks

Still blows my mind how far you've come, don't forget that! Things slow down towards the end, apparently. Are you still being treated with Picosure? Perhaps you could switch it up and seek out and high-spec QS Yag to see if it can finish the job?
January 29, 2015
Ya Picosure, plus another laser that I forget what its called (may be the qs yag) to get a different layer of skin according to him, plus deepfx accupulse at the end which puts little tiny holes in your skin to prevent blistering and I guess to help smooth out the skin and "blend" the treatments together as he said..... So he's actually doing 3 lasers per treatment now. And as I'm sure you can guess, its so, so much fun...... (sarcasm)

Never heard of the deepfx accupluse. I would LOVE to try that because of my tattoo location and size!
February 2, 2015
Hey, yes, I think they may be similar things but I'm no doctor. Ya, if you are getting a large tattoo removed you are going to want to ask about adding this laser at the end because it will make the healing process MUCH more pleasant and prevent large painful blisters (I treated without it the first time and the blistering was intense to say the least). It's pretty straight forward, just puts tiny holes in your skin so it can't blister up. It's used on scars and skin modification so it is a good treatment just to smooth out the tattoo skin as well. My doctor I think published a paper about using the laser, so its a new thing. ask if they have deepfx and are willing to use it.

I can't imagine you needing more than 3more tx's. It looks amazing so far! I would take a break for 6months and then blast the remaining particles :) wish I was as far along as you!!!

I am going through the same thing. I started getting my tattoos removed in 2012. I had 10 q-switch laser treatments and have had 3 with Picosure and the tattoo is still there (and these are just black outlines). I have been waiting for 8 weeks between treatments in hopes that it clears it more each time. I paid for 4 treatments because they said they could clear it in 4, but the last time I went to the doctor he said "two more on this one and one on that one." I can't afford more than what I paid so we will see what happens. I had him define what he thinks tattoo REMOVAL is because so many of us doesn't see full clearance and he said "nothing is there means removal" so we will see if I have true removal or just tattoo lightening . I haven't worn short sleeved shirts in two (almost three) years and I can't wait for that day to come. I hope you get what you are after as well!
I love side by side comparisons as you can pick out the little changes. Thanks for sharing.
