I am for the most part very happy with the outcome and my look. But there are a few things I'm almost positive I may have to live with for the rest of my life. I don't have as much range when it comes to opening it has gotten wider over time but definitely not as wide as it was before surgery. I also believe I should have started physical therapy way before I did I believe you should start physical therapy at least 4 to 5 months after the surgery. I think this would have made a difference. I still have numbness in my chin and I have a bit of TMJ which I never had before. The muscle is so tight on one side and honestly it makes me very self-conscious. Sometime my mouth is like Twisted to one side to the point where it looks like I've had a stroke before. I truly feel if I had gotten Physical Therapy sooner. Maybe this would have been avoided. I didn't start Physical Therapy until almost a year after surgery which did help.

Getting adjusted
I'm liking my new look but it's still a adjustment. I'm still numb in my chin area and I can't open my mouth as wide. Doctor says that will correct itself over time. The one thing that your taste me the most is now I don't really know how to smile I can't smile with teeth because my mouth won't open properly and it looks like I'm straining ..... sometimes when I feel like I look like I have no teeth lol but I'm being told and all these little things will correct their self.
