Well Worth It! - San Diego, CA

I knew after having kids my stomach would never be...

WORTH IT$14,700

I knew after having kids my stomach would never be the same. I was lucky enough to inherit the petite frame from my Grandmother and Mother but it also came with the "after pregnancy" sagging skin and stretch marks. It was inevitable I was going to have the same problem. After seeing 4 other doctors, I was convinced Dr. Pousti was going to my surgeon. I should've saved Dr. Pousti for last on my list of doctors because I started comparing all the other doctors to him... there was no comparison! He had a general concern of my well-being and cared about the "Why are you doing this to your body? What are your real motives? Are you in a good place in your life to have a physical (and mental) change?". I was also impressed with the dedication to his family. He's a family man who cares about patients as if you were part of his family. His staff is just as wonderful as he is. I love going to my appointments and catching up with his staff; they all have such good hearts and actually care about what's going on with your body. Bottomline, I am more than pleased with choosing Dr. Pousti and his staff for my surgery.

PROS:
I love shopping for clothes now! Before, I was also choosing outfits that hid my poochy stomach but now I'm looking for tighter fitting tops to show off my flat stomach. I used to love the winter just so I had an excuse to layer on the clothes but now I'm browsing through swimsuits online looking for a perfect bikini. I haven't worn a bikini in almost 10 years!

CONS:
My first bowel movement... UGGGHHHH! All the stool softeners in the world wouldn't have helped me. My mother gave me this detox tea and it did the trick. It's probably not recommended for everyone but I was desperate and it worked.

My advice for anyone thinking about a Mommy Makeover is to make sure you have a great support system behind you. If it wasn't for my husband, sister, mother, and my neighbors assisting me with EVERYTHING, there would be no way my results would be as successful. I told my husband he could be a nurse with the way he took care of me. He bathed me, washed my hair, scratched my back... the whole 9 yards!! My sister was there to keep me on schedule with my meds and took over the night shift so my husband could sleep. My mother took care of my 2 kids, cleaned my house, and cooked for all of us. My neighbors were coming by to drop off dinners and keep me company when I was bored. It was a positive experience all the way around and I owe it all to my family and neighbors who were there for me during recovery.

What I wish I knew beforehand...
I totally underestimated the pain of the tummy tuck. I didn't think it was going to be that bad because I had a high tolerance for pain. I'm thankful for pain meds!!

Thank you for your fabulous review! It sounds like you have a great support system and that it made all the difference. How long ago did you have surgery?

It's been 4 months post surgery. More pics to come soon!
