6 weeks post op pics

I started using Scaraway strips on Friday . After wearing them for most of the night and day, when I took it off, my incision was really red. Today was not as bad. My scar looks like it stands out more now that I'm using the strips. Anyone else experience this ? I do not have itching/ or rash.

6 weeks post op

Hi all my RS friends. Well time is going by normally now. Just to think that 6 weeks ago I was just getting into recovery! From not being able to do anything those first 2 weeks until now is amazing how the body recovers! I just went for my 6 weeks po check with Dr. Pousti. Still, such an amazing doctor and very courteous staff. I am going to miss them when I no longer have to have visits!!!
Dr. says that I am doing great, and everything looks great for being 6 weeks. No complications throughout this whole process. Don't get me wrong , my moods have been down few times during the 1st month, but never in deep pain--just not feeling "normal."
I am able to do most everything--I am cleared back to going to the gym and even light weights. I will just listen to what my body is telling me. I started back jogging during my walks which has made me feel really good. After my appt I went home and starting using Scaraway for my incision. Dr. Said it was okay to use as long as it has silicone. I will be using these strips for the next few months over my scar and belly button.
I am really happy I did this. Really. Happy. Still in disbelief that it is me. The staff took pictures yesterday of me and I said to them--"oh, I thought the after pics weren't until way later in a few months when selling is subsided" She told me that I looked so good for being 6 weeks that she had to take pics. It feels really good to hear that--and see it for myself. I can hardly stand to look at the before pics of me with my flap/apron/fold!! When I get the pics back from the doctors office I will see if I'm brave to post them.
Anyhow--again I am so happy to have done this and to follow Dr. Pousti's recommendation and advice. He and his office staff, as well as the surgical center have been TOP NOTCH. Before, during and after this surgery. I am so glad I choose him!! I am also happy that I have reached out to others on this website and connected with those going through this journey. Even connecting with others that have the same doctor has really been helpful.
I hope everyone is as happy as I am with themselves. I also
Hope that each one of you have a wonderful doctor and office staff to be there to support you as I have .
I could not have done this without all the people I have spoken of. Most of all, for my SO. He has been above and beyond this entire journey. I REALLY could not have done this without him--physically, mentally, financially, emotionally, and spirtitualy. I can't thank him enough. Having him as my rock, especially those first two weeks--helped me tremendously to achieve my results today. Believe me, you have to be not embarrassed when your on your pain meds and being able to ask your support person to give you an enema!!! I can't even pass gas in front of him still to this day!!! Hahahaha!
Happy healing everyone!

1 Month Post op!

Hi all! Well 1 month ago today I was going in for my TT surgery. For the first 3 weeks, time crept by. Now, with each day that goes by --each day I'm feeling better. Really, everyday and I am feeling better and better. I had my first shower yesterday! It felt so good!! I didn't stay in long because I want to follow what my doctor recommends. I am walking at least 4 times a week at least for 25 minutes. Dr. said I could increase activity, so I am making sure I try to walk--even with light hand weights.
My tummy around my belly button and scar line is dry, especially where scabs have come off. I am going to ask at my next appt if I should put some vitamin E or something on them. Otherwise I have left them alone. I did order scar guard, and will ask when I can start using those. I am massaging my flanks where lipo was done, as there are some lumpy/hard spots I feel underneath. I usually massage once per day for 5 min each side.
I am happy with my results and cannot believe that I have a flat tummy! I am so glad that I chose to do this procedure even though I said for many years " I will never get a full TT, I don't want to go through recovery!" I am glad that my doctor, SO and I discussed this and that I made the right decision.
I hope all of you are recovering easily and those awaiting are filled with excitement!
Thank you for all your continued posts!

Dr. Pousti is nothing short of wonderful! He is respectful and humble in every manner. Dr. Pousti is open to every question or concern. I am so happy that I chose Dr. Pousti for my procedure, and I know I will be in good hands. The office staff have been great as well, from my initial phone call to schedule to a consult, up to my pre-op appointment. They are all very warm and welcoming as Dr. Pousti is. Everyone seems genuinely happy to be there, assisting every patient in their journey.
