Update -- added pics, and update on scar healing
WORTH IT$5,500
Just wanted to update on a couple things. First, 2 weeks after my original review (6 weeks post-op), the scars already look quite a bit better than they did when I submitted my review. I expected them to improve, but not quite so dramatically over just 2 weeks -- so that's a good thing. I am told they will continue to improve to the point of being barely (or not at all) noticeable, which seems pretty plausible given how much they've improved so far.
Second, I wanted to put some before/after pics. The full torso shot with the blue background is 6 weeks post-op; the other is before. The difference is incredible and I just feel like a completely different (and much less self-conscious) guy...
Again, I highly recommend the procedure in general and Dr. Pousti in specific. It's kind of a scary prospect to do something like this so I hope this review is helpful to someone.

ORIGINAL POST
I was looking for someone to help with my "puffy...
I was looking for someone to help with my "puffy nipples" for lack of a better word. I had a little excess fat in the chest region as well, but that wasn't really my issue -- the large, extruding nipples were what made me very self conscious. (As they have done for decades, even during times when I was quite lean).
I chose Dr. Pousti based on reviews (mostly from this site) and on the fact that he seemed familiar with this particular issue. I'm very glad I did. It was clear upon talking to him that he is highly experienced with exactly the issues I was having. He ended up excising tissue as well as lipo-ing out some fat, and the results look fantastic. The scars are pretty obvious right now, but I'm only 4 weeks in and I understand that will get a lot better. But the actual contours look great, and I finally just have a normal looking male chest. It is bizarre (in a great way) to not be self conscious after decades of being embarrassed by this!
In short I would highly recommend this procedure for people like myself who are embarrassed by "man boobs" that won't go away even if they get reasonably lean. And I would VERY highly recommend Dr. Pousti. I could see a procedure like this potentially going awry with someone less seasoned. But he has done this many times and, if my results are any indication, he is really good at it.
Oh, I should also mention: while I was "under the hood" I also had him do lipo on these little love handles I had from when I got kind of fat. I have long since lost that weight (about 30 lbs), but there were a couple pockets of stubborn fat, notably on the love handles/flanks area. I wouldn't have bothered with that by itself, but since I was going through all the overhead of the gyno surgery anyway, I went ahead and did it. There, too, the results are really good... it looks totally natural and even 4 weeks later the scars (which are tiny, and below my belt line anyway) are barely noticeable. My primary issue was the gyno surgery, so that's what I've oriented this review on, but I thought I should mention the love handles as well. The $5500 noted above was only for the gyno surgery.
I should also mention that I felt surprisingly little discomfort from the procedure. It hurt for the first day or so, but after that it was just a mild discomfort -- much less than I expected.
