I'm really glad to share this experience with you all and I'm able to help someone make a decision to change their life. I've struggled with gynecomastia ever since childhood. I would never swim without a shirt. I would always dark, loose fitting clothing. As a senior in high school I weighed 280lbs. I made a decision to loose weight and hoping the man boobs would disappear. WRONG! I did drop down to 195lbs however the moobies remained. I began searching for an alternative route and surgical removal was that route. I went back and forth over the procedure for 12 years. I finally said enough is enough. I made an appointment with Dr. Pousti and from that moment my life has not been the same and it never will be. I can't describe how great I feel. I'm only 7 days post-op at this point. I know the end result will be world class and I'm excited to start this new journey.

So far so good. Thanks for sharing your experience. What made you decide on Dr. Pousti? Whas is mostly glandular or fat? Was there other surgery methods that could have been done? Sorry for so many questions but I feel I have a lot of glandular tissue with excess skin. Would like to know what the Dr. Told you what to expect. Congratulations on your new self confidence bro.

I've had consultations at a few offices and the majority of seemed as though they could get the done. However, I felt comfortable with Dr. Pousti and his staff. They have a warm feeling in that office and that was important to me. He removed a good amount of breast tissue and fat. There was another surgical method that could've been used but I felt this particular method was best for what i was looking for. Some individuals are concerned with scarring when receiving this procedure but in my opinion the upside is much greater. I'll take a scar any day over what I've allowed to haunt me for a good 20+ years.

Sounds like my thoughts on scaring. The way I see it I never take my shirt off in public as it is now. I just want, at the moment, to be able to wear cool t shirts, thin or thick, without a compression shirt underneath or a button up shirt over. Facing the wind. Lol. If you know what I mean? I don't have tattos but im not opposed to getting cool tatts to cover the scars. Question? So was the other option to not move the nipple to the proper area at the pec. Line or not remove skin at all?
June 6, 2015
Lol. I know exactly what you mean. The other option would have kept the nipple in tact allowing me to keep sensation but I would have a T shaped scar that I wasn't to excited about.

It has been a pleasure taking care of you; your positive attitude has been noted by everyone that has come into contact with you. I look forward to seeing you back in the office soon; I hope that you are very pleased with the long-term outcome of the procedure performed. Thank you again. Tom J Pousti M.D.

My has changed dramatically since I've made this decision. I'm 3 weeks post-op and I feel like a brand new person. Obviously I'm still healing but I have zero complaints or regrets with this decision. I'll continue to update you as the weeks go by.

This is awesome dude. Its seems to be healing amazing. How many inches did your nipples move up to the correct position? From my own examination, I estimate at least 2.5 to 3 inches to be at my lower pectoral ridge line. Im a decent muscular guy, but plagued by stretched skin, glandular tissue and fat (mostly on rib side and armpit area). I want to finally see the side pectoral muscles.

Congratulations man. I really want to do it

Congrats but why are the scars so big
July 16, 2015
the scars are still healing and slowly fading away. To be honest i'd rather deal with a few scars compared to what i dealt with before. this was a huge procedure and to this point i'm very pleased.

Awesome.. Glad I came across your post.

I'm one month out..doing that and a tummy tuck. I'm Scared as heck of the pain and discomfort. But I'm over looking like this.
August 12, 2015
Trust me. The pain and discomfort last for a week and most if your surgeon does a good job. I personally didn't really experience much pain at all. Only discomfort was from wearing the compression vest.
