I'm 3 days post op.. I had large volume lipo on 7/15/16. 5 liters. Had my stomach (upper and lower) flanks, back and arms done. Feeling pretty swollen still. Just got back from my follow up. Everything is still pretty jiggly.. I didn't really expect anything different. This arm compression is a huge pain. Hard to get on and off.. And I'm wondering if this foam is absolutely necessary under the compression wrap.. Trying to go back to work in 2 days. This may be difficult to conceal. Any ideas???

Hey..I am recovering as well. I go to see my doctor on Thursday for follow up. I recommend wearing the foam..it helps me with swelling and keeping the stomach flat. I agree with the arms part. I usually need help pulling up the garment all the way to my arms. Massaging the areas help too. I go up and down on the areas. I got a roller at the Dollar store and use that to roll my arms since they hurt and burn. Keep posting. I will follow your story.

Thank you for the encouragement! That's a great idea for the roller. It seems nights are the worst. I'm trying to get back to work tomorrow.. So we will see how that goes. Sending you healing thoughts! Keep posting on your recovery too please :)

OMG I can't believe you are returning to work so soon post op. I am praying you to be able to make it through the day, that is too difficult. I think you would need 7 days minimum at home for your body to heal and inflammation. Do you have any drains?

Hi there! Thank you for the prayers! I was really questioning my choice of going back to work at about 2pm yesterday- I was so sleepy. I don't have any drains. I definitely wouldn't have gone back with those... Not sure I could hide them. Yesterday was not easy. I was exhausted by the end of the day, and as usual I couldn't sleep comfortably last night. My arms seem more swollen today. Everyday does get easier and easier though.. Counting down to the weekend :)

Pulled off a full day at work today.. Ugh.. I was exhausted before I even got there- but stuck it out anyway. Probably should've stayed home one more day.
Totally bruised still and swollen. Almost so swollen it looks the same as before lipo.. :( Is that normal?? The waist garment was ok until I got home and realized it road all the way up and wasn't compressing my bottom abdominal area - At all. There has to be a better garment than this. My back has no compression at all.. And that can't be right. Going to the Drs tomorrow to get stitches out- I'll ask then. I think I'm grumpy and need a nap- sorry for the complaining

Complaining is understandable. I can't believe you returned to work so soon. Do you have a desk job? I would be so concerned that your body will take longer to heal since you are putting stress on yourself so soon after. Praying for you and following your posts.

Tell me about it went back to work also and it was hard. I should have taken 2 weeks at least.

I hear ya sister.. How many days are you post op? Did you find that you were swelling more at the end of the day? Can't tell if my arm compression garment is too tight or I'm slightly over doing it.. :/

Hmm. This Coming Monday will be one week (plus 2 days)post op for me. The way im feeling now i may take your advice and take all of next week off as well just to continue healing. Dont want to be grumpy at work. Lol

I am going on 10 days post op. End of day I am so swollen. Going to be honest at this point wish I did not do it. I feel bigger than what I started. I look like a truck hit me. My surgeon actually said I am the worst she has seen. Great lol. Maybe because I am 51. God I hate getting older. I am from canada. Don't get me wrong she was great just second guessing myself. I have had two melt downs so far. Not that crying helps but of we'll. Thanks for responding.

Yea I should have waited. I am an office manager at a dental office but I had to help the dentist assist during a extraction. I was on my feet for 40 minutes. When it was over my left foot went up like crazy.

That sounds like a rough day for sure! Im an office manager for a nursing home. So no real physical strain for me.. I'm going to try to find a way to get these feet up this week! Thanks for that great idea. I'm sure you are going to look amazing!! Don't feel bad for having melt downs - I had one for pretty much no reason at all 2 days post op. I was frustrated for feeling like I couldn't do anything on my own.. Just felt like having a cry fest I guess.. ? I did some research and it seems very normal. Hang in there! It's not easy bringing sexy back :)

It's going to swell and I'm almost a month post and it's looking pretty good. Feels funny without my garment though. When it firms up you'll feel better. 2 wks you may see improvements.. Get your strength back and STAY COMPRESSED! My best advice..lol Check out my profile, maybe'll help..
