Day 1: Although the staff was running behind schedule and I had to wait an extra hour and a half to be seen, it was an overall a good experience. My nurse was very nice, helpful, and dedicated to her job. She ensured all of my questions were answered. I had tumescent lipo in the upper, lower abs and sides. I had the fat transferred to my hips to fill some areas and increase volume. During the surgery, I did feel a little bit of pain but for the most part I don't remember the entire procedure because I was in a "twilight" stage. They did not completely put me under so I was breathing on my own (I definitely prefer this over being put under). When I woke up, I walked over to the recovery room. They gave me a coke with some crackers to help with nausea, which I did not have. Surgery began at 1230pm and I was out of the clinic by 3:30. I wasn't in too much pain. I had a 2.5 hour drive home but slept most of the way and was comfortable. When I got home, I slept most of the day/night.
Day 2: It was recommended not to take a shower until 24 hours later. By noon the next day I was ready to take a shower. I removed my bandages which had a lot of drainage (some blood mixed with fluids). The nurse gave me some extra bandages so after the shower I had my husband wrap me with bandages and then I had to slip on the "Garment." I will say the garment is the worst part about this experience thus far. I am itchy and uncomfortable in it. I have been putting some lotion on my abs to help with the itching. It helps a little. Day 2 is definitely more painful than Day 1. I just felt very sore and it hurt most when I got out of bed. I walked a lot around the house to help with the soreness. I am trying not to take too much of the Oxycodone because I do not want to be constipated which I already am.
Day 3: I feel a lot better today. I took my garment off to put some lotion on this morning to help with the itching. I do like what I see so far except I have a small dent below the belly button. And there's a small area above the belly button that looks like a little bigger than the area below my belly button. I hope this is due to swelling and will go away. I will continue to post of my days to come.

Day 4
craygirl79August 25, 2015
Day 4 is a lot better. I needed some fresh air and so I went to Walmart yo get some last minute ingredients for steak fajitas. I waliked around the store for about 45 min (it's Walmart no such thing as running in and out). I felt good and was able to get around without a problem. I did adjust the seat on my car a bit so I wasn't sitting up to straight. That's when it feels uncomfortable. I get my sutures off on Day 6 so I will post then. Oh I also made an appointment for limphatic massage later this week after the Dr sees me...Looking forward to my post op appointment!
