48 Year Old, Aging Signs Exploding! San Diego, CA

For some time, a little lump over my right cheek bone, had been really bothering me. It seemed to have formed when I got under eye fillers about 10 years ago. Unfortunately it appears some type of permanent filler was used and may have traveled down. At the same time, it felt as if the signs of aging at 48 appeared all of a sudden within the last 2 years! I looked tired and worn down, I had jowls forming, my lips had begun to curl down, my crow's feet were more like pterodactyl's(dinosaur bird) feet! I started discussing the possibility of seeing a plastic surgeon with my husband especially due to the little lump. My husband was very supportive and I began my research. I did a lot of research over the next few months until I came across Dr. Karam. I noted his extensive award winning reputation and chose to pay him a visit.

I was extremely impressed with not only him, but his staff as well. His humble and warming personality were just wonderful and comforting. His honesty made me immediately feel I was in the right hands. He said that having work done to just remove the lump was impossible due to where it was located and not knowing exactly what was used as a filler, however, getting a lateral brow lift with a short incision lift to correct the signs of aging would help the appearance of the lump tremendously. My biggest concern was to end up looking wind blown or obvious work done on my face. I work out, practice yoga, I am a holistic nutritionist by passion (but I do love make up) and I did not want to look fake!

Let me say, I could not be happier. He gave me exactly what he promised. I got the lateral brow lift with the short incision neck lift and look amazing (at least vain me thinks so as well as do my family and friends). I look exactly like myself but yet so refreshed and youthful. My lump is slightly there but it is hardly noticeable.

The way he prepares his patient is amazing as well. The care begins weeks before the surgery by advising on supplements and care to minimize bruising and swelling after. It helped me incredibly. I bruise easily and I hardly had bruising or swelling. Now that was amazing to me! Of course everyone is different, however, my experience was great. I am still slightly swollen in certain areas, but only I notice it.

After one month of surgery, a friend who does not know I had surgery, came over yesterday. All she could say is how amazing I looked and asked what I was doing. She could not tell I had surgery at all! (I never told her) :-)

I am so happy I did my research!
