Pain Scale 1-10 used.
Day 1 - CoolSculpting on lower abdomen done with two small applicators at 1 hour each. The applicator being first put on felt like someone was just grabbing your fat really hard. Not any significant pain from the applicator. Felt like intense pressure for the first 5 min until it went numb (Pain Scale - 2). My nurse did mention that I had a really positive tolerance to the the application process. Hardly any pain after the applicator was taken off either. The "Zimmer" was used for 3 minutes directly after on the frozen area which is meant to break up the fat for better results. Although the machine is fairly loud, this felt like slight zaps that were hardly noticeable on the frozen area. The only part of the entire process that made me wince a little was when the Zimmer touched the outer area on my sides of the non-frozen skin closer to my rib cage (Pain Scale - 3.5). After everything was done I was instructed to put my high waisted Spanx on for the remainder of the day and for a few days after if I felt like I needed it. I was also told that I could take Ibuprofen if I wanted to for the pain. After 5 hours of the procedure I am still wearing my Spanx. The area is a little red and I can see some slight bruising on the outer sides starting to come up. I needed to bend over to pick something up and felt like I just had to take it a little slow (Pain Scale 2). I feel no pain at all sitting here typing this.

Day 2

Day 2 - I did not have any pain last night as I slept, but I did take 800mg of Ibuprofen "just in case" right before bed. Slept perfectly fine and don't have any pain this morning other than slight tenderness when I touch my stomach. Feels tender like a bruise would feel if you poked it. Hardly any noticeable swelling and very slight redness/bruising on the outer sides where the applicator was. I don't think I will wear my Spanx today but I may wear my yoga pants that have a higher than normal waist.

if you taking Ibuprofen make sure you eat before and drink at the least 2 med cups of water. Because Ibuprofen can be dangerous on an empty stomach. My friend did it a few times and she had to go to the ER because she was bleeding in her stomach. The Ibuprofen did it.

Day 2, 3, 4

Day 2 (evening) - I haven't felt much pain at all except for when my cat decided to jump up on my stomach (Pain Scale 3). Again, it still feels like it is bruised and there is little swelling.
Day 3 - I stayed in my high waist yoga pants all day. There is no bruising from the procedure. I can bend over without any discomfort.
Day 4 - Spent most of the day in my jeans sitting in a classroom, so my tummy feels pretty tender now that I have taken the jeans off. It got pretty uncomfortable after an hour of my jeans digging into my gut. I am adding a photo for today, but be aware that the bruise that is highly visible is NOT from the procedure... I actually had it BEFORE the procedure, so it is still healing. There is no bruising or redness from the procedure. I'm kicking myself now for not taking an actual measurement directly under my belly button before the procedure, but I am currently at 40 inches and will see in a few days if there was swelling that has gone down from now.
*** I realized that I haven't addressed that my skin in the area feels a bit numb. Not completely numb but I can run my fingers over the area and it is a bit tingly. No pain involved running my fingers over the area. Just feels like a bruise when you start pressing or grabbing the area.
