I am 32 years old and I have lived with crooked, crowded teeth. When I say crooked i mean really crooked. After a lot of thought, and a lot of hygeine issues with them, I decided to try Clear Correct.
I just went an got my first set of aligners. I need to keep them on for 3 weeks before I get my 1A, which is May 15th. They were a little snug putting on, and they aren't majorly painful. I need to get used to having these in my mouth. The dentist told me i could take tylenol if i feel a lot of discomfort, but so far I don't feel the need to. I should do some pictures tonight and put them up!

So I haven't been able to take pictures yet (i hate that iphone wants me to buy iCloud space or delete my baby's pictures from the phone) but I wanted to update here about how things are going. I am in pain, but it is not intolerable. I am very uncomfortable, yes. This stuff in my mouth makes my lips very dry. And oh, i have two cuts on my inner lip (upper) where the aligners have their edges. I read that it will get better, so i will do the waiting. I still haven't taken any painkillers, but I have thought about it more than once today. I was counting the number of hours i have them on in a day and it looks like i am keeping them on between 20 and 21 hours in a day vs the 22 hours the dentist told me too. I wonder if that will change the speed of things. Meanwhile, i will try to get a picture!

Thanks for sharing this update. For the cuts, your orthodontist might be able to file down rough edges on your aligners (some people do this themselves with a nail file), or you might want to try dental wax.
Congratulations on taking this step for yourself. You're in the right place to begin your journey!
