Breast Lift & Implant Removal (Breast Augumentation to Follow) - San Diego, CA

I was unhappy with the appearance of my breasts even though I had two previous breast lifts, many years ago. The most recent breast lift procedure, with implants, was done about 15 years ago. I was hoping for fuller, perkier and a little bit larger breasts. I went to another plastic surgeon first that was very highly recommended by a friend of mine. I was also doing my research on the internet when I found Dr. Poutsti. He had so many great reviews with before and after photos that I decided to go for a consultation. Dr. Poutsti and his staff were all so warm and friendly, while being professional, that I made my decision to go ahead and schedule the breast lift, remove the old saline implants, and replace them with silicone.
Unfortunately, I had a complication with the surgery, which was NOT the fault of Dr. Pousti. There was not enough blood flow to my left breast, which made the healing process very slow. Dr. Poutsti made the correct decison and did not insert the implants. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. During the healing process I was going to see Dr. Poutsti twice a week for 2 months and then down to once per week, every other week, etc., until I was fully healed. Dr. Poutsti and his staff took such good care of me during this difficult time and gave me encouragement and confidence that I would be pleased with the end result. They called me regularly just to make sure I was doing okay, even though they were seeing me twice per week at his office. It's been about 4.5 months since my initial surgery. I'm scheduled for the breast augumention in a couple of days, so my story will be continued. I'm a little nervous, but I know I have the absolute best doctor and staff!!

I'm sorry about your earlier complication and I truly hope this time it goes off without a hitch. Any idea why you didn't have enough blood flow to your left breast or was it just a fluke?
Please keep us posted. Fingers and toes crossed for you!
