Breast Augmentation with Dr. Tom Pousti

I forgot to tell you guys a few facts about my boobs. During my post op
Appointment with Dr Pousti we told about a few thing that I forgot to mention. He told me he used 590 cc Ultra high profile, silicone, smooth shelled implants. I never thought I’d want the high profile kind, but I’m so glad that what I got. I love the way they’ve given me this great cleavage. My last breast implants were 800 cc, low profile and I had a lot of issues with them, rippling etc. I’ll post pics here to show you the difference between the two types of implants. We also talked about how he chose the smooth instead of textured and this is because of the small chance of developing a rare type of Lymphoma that has recently been linked to the textured implants. And last by not least, we spoke about my incision placement. My incision is vertical instead of horizontal which I though was strange but he said it was the best option so I believe him. It doesn’t really matter to me where the incision is because I already have an anchor lift scar so he would have just been putting a scar where I already have one anyway.

The first few days my boobs were a little tight and stiff but they are loosening up nicely now. We flew back from San Diego on Friday after my appointment with Dr. Pousti. Everything is great and I’m completely happy with my results. Dr Pousti is a brilliant surgeon and I love what he has helped me achieve. I spent so many years of my life uncomfortable and embarrassed because of my breasts and he has now given me a new chance to feel good about myself.

My surgery was at 1pm yesterday and everything went well. It surprisingly took only about 1 hour, then maybe another hour in recovery. Dr Pousti was amazing as always. Before surgery we talked about size, placement and I showed him some more wish pics. Dr Pousti really understands the female mind and takes the time to listen, understand and make good suggestions. He’s very easy to understand when he speaks to you. I really appreciate this as I’ve been to many very talented plastic surgeons in my life, but I’ve realized that many of them don’t have the gift of communication. As amazing as their work may be, if you can’t have a real conversation with them, they sometimes don’t end up giving you what YOU want because they don’t really understand what you’ve been trying to express. They will just do what they assume you want because that’s what all the other ladies before you asked for. Believe me, I’ve been through this a couple of times before in the past but I’m grateful for those experiences now because it taught me exactly what to look for in a plastic surgeon when I’m at a consultation. Anyway, surgery went well and I took a peak at my boobs when I went back to my hotel and literally cried tears of joy when I saw them. I knew Dr. Pousti would do a great job, but I had no idea that my boobs would be this absolutely amazing!! I feel like I’m my own wish pic now and it’s only day one! I was expecting them to be a little too small and I thought they would be oddly shaped initially, but they aren’t. They are so perfect for me. They are the prefect balance of big enough and small enough at the same time and the shape is awesome. I love the straight on view and the side view. They are up high but from the side they have a nice way of swooping down. They are round and also slightly oval/ teardrop shape from the side. Maybe he used teardrop shaped implants I’ll have to ask him on Friday. Well, whatever he did, he did the right and perfect thing for my body type. This is only day one, does this mean that they are only going to get better??? If so, I might have a heart attack.
