I am 4 days post surgery, and so far things are going pretty well. The day after I had some severe pain around my incision as well as abdominal pain, and this lasted for the first full fay after surgery. Dr Pousti came to visit me that evening to check on me and reassure me that everything went well and just take it easy and I would be happy with my results.

He also sent me photos of his work during the actual surgery, which was a huge motivation to stay strong through the periods of pain and discomfort I was feeling.

I have received mulitple phone calls from Dr Pousti's office staff to check up on me and make sure .I am doing my leg exercises, walking hunched over and deep breathing. I have a pain pump, and 2 drains along my incision line, but these are very simple to maintain and are not daunting at all.
For anyone considering this surgery, i highly recommend you get yourself a walker as it makes moving aroundd far easier and you are able to support yourself. I am finding my lower back is getting quite sore due to all the hunched over walking I have been doing, but it sure beats splitting open an incision!

I have a follow up appointment with Dr Pousti on Monday, can't wait to see how everything is progressing.

I was motivated to get plastic surgery after I...

I was motivated to get plastic surgery after I lost a large amount of weight and was left with quite loose, sagging skin on my breasts, stomach, arms and thighs.
In 2007 I weighed approximately 300lbs (135kg), and over 2 - 3 years I managed to lose about 154lbs (70kg), I decided to get a breast lift and implants in 2009, and went to a local doctor here in Brisbane, Australia.
I had 800cc silicone implants, as well as an anchor lift to get rid of some of my loose skin and breast tissue. While quite happy with the job this surgeon did, I knew I wanted better placement and a larger size, so I started researching Plastic Surgeons overseas to see if I could find the right doctor for me. I found Dr Pousti through a breast implants forum and knew he was the one. I read many reviews from his patients who were overjoyed with his work, particularly with breast revisions and large breast implants.
I phoned Dr Pousti and his staff from Australia and found him to be incredibly informative and he provided me with all the information I needed to help me make my decision on the kind of surgery I wanted. I decided to change to saline implants, overfilled to a size that best fit my body (to be determined by Dr Pousti during surgery) and also an Arm Lift procedure in the same surgery, to remove the loose skin from my upper arms.
I had this surgery in May 2012 and now 5 months later I am extremely happy with the results. My new breast implants sit much more evenly and the size is much closer to what I was looking for. After such a positive experience I knew I wanted to come back to San Diego and see Dr Pousti for my tummy tuck procedure.
It is now October 2012, and I am back in San Diego. It is the night before my surgery, and I am getting a tummy tuck as well as more CC's added to my current Saline implants.
This afternoon I had my pre-op appointment with Dr Pousti and his staff, where they went through all pre and post op information, and a one-on-one consult with Dr Pousti allowed me to feel 100% comfortable and confident about the procedure. I had initially paid for an extended tummy tuck, which involves a much larger incision all around my body, and requires a longer surgery and more post op care. After looking at my skin today, Dr Pousti recommended that I just do the front tummy tuck, rather than extended as he didn't think it would do much to change the results of my surgery. I really appreciate Dr Pousti discussing these options with me, as it makes me feel as though he really values the best outcome for me above the extra money that was paid for the original quoted procedure.
I am feeling nervous about this surgery because it is around my abdominal area, and I am concerned that the healing process may be more difficult that what I have experienced before. I am also excited because I know Dr Pousti will do the best job he can, and will only do what is necessary for my body to get me the results I desire.
I am going to sleep soon, so I will update here again after surgery!
