Regaining my Self-esteem - San Diego, CA

My skin complexion has always been one of the hardest emotional struggles in my life. It was hard enough in high school but when I got to my freshman year in college where first impressions are merely skin deep, my life went spiraling into a depressed state filled with insecurity. For years my parents kept me from Accutane because of the severe internal damage it has had on my brother (and was possibly even the cause of his type I daibetes that he was later diagnosed with six years later). Once my acne began peaking and becoming more cystic my first semester, I no longer cared about the problems I would potentially acquire from Accutane if it meant it would clear my skin.
It was literally the week before I was going to begin Accutane when my friend recommended Dr. Fabi's laser procedure to me. I saw her results and did my research, and the next thing I knew I was skipping my first week of my 2nd semester in college to get this procedure done as a final last ditch effort.
The first procedure I did was a combination of PDT and IPL. This procedure did exactly what it was meant to-not only reduce the amount of acne, but practically eliminate the overall production of acne on my face.
Once the acne stopped I was able to do follow up treatments on the real visible damage, my acne scars and red spots. I no longer even had zits, but to a third party, these spots might as well be acne. So in order to treat this, Dr. Fabi has had me complete 3 Restore treatments to stimulate collagen and help with the scarring. In addition, I also did the Cynergy treatment that helps reduce the redness.
I'm my own harshest critic, so I can't help but see what needs fixing on my face. But when I look at the before and after pictures I can't help but cry. This procedure is truly worth every penny. You can't put a price on feeling comfortable and confident in your skin. I would recommend this procedure and Dr. Fabi to anyone with moderate to severe acne. Please do this for yourself and no longer let this issue be such a dominant plague holding you back.
