Seven weeks post surgery

Since my lift and implants seven weeks ago, things are much better. The infection is gone and the hole that I blew under my right breast is much better. It's not really a hole any longer. It has really improved. I'm much more optimistic about attaining my ultimate goal. A second surgery, larger implants and symmetry. I must say my surgeon and his team in San Diego have been very supportive with post surgery instruction, follow up and supporting me in any way possible. My doctor/surgeon even gave me his contact number if I needed him at any time. Both the doctor/surgeon and his team have answered any questions or concerns that I had and have made themselves available whenever needed. So the one thing I would like to share during this journey, and what I have learned is to be patient, as time does heal all. But if your a get up and go kind of girl like myself, try to rest and heal and don't do to much. Eating protein and a good diet and rest is key.

Axiomatic reflex caused a shift in implant positioning.

Now I realize it was not the fault of my surgeon in regards to the positioning of my breasts and infection, but an unfortunate incident that occurred four days in, post surgery. I was sitting at the table eating and I almost knocked something off. My automatic reflex was to grab it, and in doing so, the sudden jerking of my right arm knocked my implant out of place. At that time I felt a searing burning in my right breast that was very painful. I thought it was immediate swelling right away, but now that I've healed, four weeks post surgery, looking at my breasts I realize I knocked the implant out of place. So now I have one breast lower and to the side and one higher to the centre. Not feeling good about this. The only saving grace is knowing that once I have fully healed I will be getting the extra large implants and my surgeon can correct the imperfections. As much as I dread the second surgery, I look forward to it.

2nd time round.

Feeling more confident today after I spoke with my doctor/surgeon. He said the nice thing about the second surgery is that he can fix any imperfections at that time because the second surgery is not as involved as the first, when I had the lift and implants. I'm probably being a little impatient so I will probably stick with my original Doctor.

My doctor and his team were great. Always available and very professional. I'm just not sure about the outcome yet.
