Hello ladies so it's almost my one month post op and I've noticed my boobies have definitely did some dropping... My left boob is still a little more swollen than the right side I guess it will heal slower :( at least I can tell they both have dropped and I'm not sure how much more dropping they will get I just wish they are healing evenly :( but I guess that almost doesn't always happen since each boob is different... I am happy I can sleep on my sides now the only thing though is when I wake up and get up the left side feels tighter than the other (left side is the slower one healing) i still get the morning boob I guess... They are starting to feel more jiggly when I move them but the right side I almost feel no tightness that side is healing faster and better... Also incisions are looking great as you an see on pictures they look pretty good I only have old dry blood on the left side incisions when I had bleeding series there last week and I was scared I had hematoma because I started noticing new bruises around the incisions but it's gone now and I don't really feel any pain at all just tightness... I had it checked and everything last week because I was scared and doctor wasn't concerned he says it's normal.. I can't wait for my one month post op appointment on Monday (4days from now) and see what the doctor says. I believe I will be learning how to massage them too I'm very anxious and nervous ofcourse I'm still paranoid of possible complications. Other than that I feel pretty good the tightness on both boobies have reduced a little week by week I can tell and swollen has gone down a lot as well although left side is still a tad bit more swollen :( anyways here are pictures I have no regrets and love them more and more every day I just can't wait until all the tightness and swelling are gone. The zingers come in here and there maybe three times a week but I get those more on my left boobie. Everyday gets better! Happy healing!

19 days post op (almost 3 weeks)
So a little update on my BA journey I am almost 3 weeks post op I cannot believe how fast that went by. I noticed the swelling has gone down not sure how much swelling I have left but I can definitely tell how much they've gone down. I had another small bleeding on the left incision couple days ago except not the same opening cut (that one is healed) it's on the other side of the incision. I noticed the same thing happened when I took out the steri strips on that end and took a shower it started bleeding I guess I should've left the steri strips a little longer. I was scared I had hematoma because of the bruising that I noticed but I went to see my PS the very next day and he says it's old blood so just let it out and put gauze pads on it until it stops bleeding which it did. Also bruising will show up sometimes late which is normal. I didn't have bruising after surgery at all that's why it scared me when I saw this little bruising that appeared the same day it started bleeding but doctor seems like he isn't alarmed and says it is normal. No more bleeding the incisions are dry and both incisions are starting to look great I cannot believe how he did such a great job sewing it back together. My lefty is still more swollen than the righty, it's my bad side I guess since I had bleeding series there... It also feels more tight and sore when I move around I definitely hate morning boob :( No major pain at all just soreness and tightness here and there and the zingers (nerves). I've noticed lefty is catching up on dropping though they almost look even now it's just more swollen. Everytime I go to the mall and walk around they tighten up specially the lefty ugh I guess I need to take it easy on the walking or maybe it's just because it's cold here now (San Diego, Ca) the cold weather definitely isn't helping specially when my nipples get hard they are so sensitive ! Lately they feel like this burning sensation too specially on the bottom part but they said that's because my skin is still stretching. I just put neosporin on the incisions and they are healing great. I also started using cocoa butter and apply it just around the boobies after showering. I can move around my arms ok now pretty much can do anything without pain it's just when I walk around a lot they tighten up. I can put my hands up in the air as well with no problem. Oh did I mention they start to itch a lot! I just really can't wait until the morning boob and tightness go away! My nurse said I need to stop being paranoid haha. If they say everything is great then I trust that. Here are some photos!

Sad to say its not what I expected. Maybe I'm in to much of a hurry. My gap feels huge. And I can't figure out the size I'll end up with. Happy healing

Give it some time remember you are still on the very early stage of healing.. I can relate because I have the same worries specially the swelling & unevenness makes me frustrated lol My nurse told me not to rush it & just give it some time everyone's recovery is different. I'm so glad I've found this website we can all support & encourage each other! Keep in touch!

Can you ladies perhaps shed some light on why some people say I'm not allowed to lift my arms and hands above my head?

October 17, 2013
I've got no idea. My PS was adamant about me stretching and being able to touch my head by day 2.

October 17, 2013
Yea I was wondering the same my surgeon didn't really say anything about strictly not lifting my arms and hands op above my head he said just to take it easy couple days. I think every PS has a technique or different preferences I might just ask my surgeon why so

Nothing much has happened except I had a little bleeding series couple days ago on the left side nipple incision. This happened after my one week post op appointment when doctor took out my steri-strips and I showered that night and I noticed a little cut opening on the left incision was bleeding. I was scared but I just put gauze pads on them and called doctor the next day which was Saturday but he had me come in his office anyways to put a steri-strip back on that little cut. It was nice of him to do that and he also gave me some steri-strips to take home incase it happens again. I didn't really take pictures because Doctor says this is normal so that made me feel better. I am noticing the right side has dropped a little bit and swelling has reduced. Left side is still a little more swollen. Can't wait till they are both even lol I haven't been getting those stabbing/electrifying sensations last few days so that's a plus. No pain at all but Morning boob sucks or every time I take a nap and wake up they are tight and sore but goes away in minutes once I start walking around. I try not to do too much everyday and still taking it easy. I'm really getting impatience on this recovery process but I know it's only been almost 2 weeks so I can't really expect much for now. I also can't wait to go back to the gym :( everyday gets better and better I'm sure. I have been drinking some pineapple juice to help reduce swelling which I should've been doing the first week. I don't think they are gonna drop much more maybe just a tad bit because my original breasts wasn't saggy to begin with. I stopped icing since I'm not in pain anymore but does it do anything else? I heard some doctors don't recommend icing.. Hmmm. Anyways, I will update again in a week! Here are my current pics I am loving them day by day.

You're looking great so far!! I'm also thinking of going with saline too. Just worried about rippling. Even though I am a 34b which I have enough breast tissue that I should get any rippling. How soft do they feel? I'm also 5'3 and 116lbs. Have a great recovery!! Keep us posted. Thanks

October 9, 2013
Thank you! I was worried about rippling too but doctor says I have enough breast tissue to cover that and so I guess we shouldn't worry much I was a B cup as well. They're starting to feel softer everyday although the more swollen side is more firm. Doctor haven't instructed me to do massages yet he says after a month we will start so I can imagine they will get softer once I start massaging them. I know it won't be as soft as a normal breast but from how I feel them now I don't think it's gonna be that much of a difference. Can't wait until they drop fluff and feel softer.
