Ive struggled with my weight since high school. I'm 62 years old and I've finally decided to complete my body makeover journey. It's been a long time coming. Over the last 15 years, I've lost 115 lbs. Through diet and exercise. My highest weight was 240 lbs. I now weigh 125 lbs. In 2009 , I had a TT, in 2010 a breast reduction and an arm lift, all on the west coast, with good results. I have finally decided to complete my journey. On June 10th, I am scheduled for a spiral thigh lift with a vertical incision. My procedure will also include Dr. Fisher 's signature butt lift. The date is quickly approaching and I am both excited and anxious. I'm very apprehensive about the recovery.

Thanks to all the positive reviews on RS, I was able to select a doctor that I feel will give me the best results. I sent a request for a consultation on a Saturday and Dr. Fisher responded within the hour. On Monday, he called me personally to discuss my procedure. At this time, I have no reservations about my decision and feel very blessed to have him as my surgeon. I am more than willing to travel to have an experienced and caring doctor perform my surgery.

Thanks to all of you that paved the way with your reviews and photos. I will post my before photos very soon. I have taken everyone's advice on must have supplies. I can't thank you all enough for the support you provide through this site.

Hello and congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I can't wait to read your review and follow your journey! I agree that you're in very good hands with Dr Fisher. I have had a telephone consultation this week and his attentiveness and kindness have blown all the other potential surgeons out of the water. I too am pursuing a spiral thigh lift with Dr Fisher but will be travelling alone from the UK so am very apprehensive. Reading your story will undoubtedly inform my decision as to whether the recovery is something I can manage alone and far from home. Very best of luck to you xx

you are very courageous to consider travelling so far alone. How many procedures are you considering at this time? Will you hire someone to help you during your initial recovery? My husband will travel with me. He's taken care of me for each of my surgeries. However, this recovery has me a bit more anxious. I will definitely keep you posted.

Im glad I'm not the only person prioritising choosing the best surgeon over being closer to home. I'm travelling across from the UK to have a full body lift (LBL, Vertical incision thigh lift, extended arm lift and BA with BL) with Dr Fisher, after losing 260 pounds. I have family nearby and will recover there before flying home 8 wks later. I will be staying in a hotel he recommends in San Antonio for the first week to ten days so that he can make sure I'm healing as planned. Weirdly, I don't question my choice because Dr Fisher seems to view body contouring as an artform where he makes you into the woman you are underneath all the skin, whereas my UK consultations were far less ambitious and involved trying to piece me back together like Frankenstein's monster, whist emphasising very low expectations for the results. I know Dr Fisher is the best surgeon for me, his results speak for themselves, and I'm sure you must feel the same to travel so far. I wish you best of luck for your surgery day. (I'm booked for 28th of July and hope to share my results so that others can be helped by my story, just as I've been helped by the strong, brave people on this site.)

I'll be arriving soon after the 24th for my pre-op on the 27th. It's such a positive thing you are doing, sharing your journey with others on this site. I know I would never have found out about Dr Fisher without all the people who are prepared to bare their souls (and bodies) on this website and give honest reviews of their journeys. I don't think I would have been brave enough or believed that the results could be so good, without seeing pictures and reading stories. It's helped me make one of the hardest decisions of my life. Best of luck to you for your surgery on the 10th. I hope it goes perfectly and the results are all you could wish for. I'll follow along your journey, so please let us all know how it goes :)

Yea, my Spiral thigh lift is Aug 4th with him.. I'm so excited as well. I also had a TT Breast Lift and augment years ago and I'm glad I waited for more Dr's to specialize in body lifts because the results are way better today than 8 years ago.. I'm ready to shake this loose skin on my butt and thighs off..

Good luck on your journey and I will keep you posted. Looking okay in your clothes is one thing, having to look at all that loose skin every day is another. My sagging butt was my main annoyance. Getting it corrected with Dr. Fisher is a bonus. I'm very excited about that.

I'll keep you posted along the way. I posted close up before pictures, and will post close up post op pictures as well. This is my first procedure with Dr. Fisher, but I believe I've made the best choice for me. I've not wavered once with my decision and I've had 3 other consultations.

You have, indeed, chosen the best surgeon for the job! Dr. Fisher did my lbl revision and I'm so grateful for him. He's a magician with excess skin and with contouring. I love him so much I'm going to him for my face lift. I'd never considered going to anyone other than a facial plastic surgeon for a facelift before, but he's such an amazingly accomplished surgeon I feel confident in his hands.
