Its been a lityle over a week and wanted to update you all. I still feel the bumps and they are apparent when I smile. They seem like they are getting smaller. What do you think?

Response from Dr. Lawton:
We use juvaderm for lip enhancement that can last up to two years. The bumps can be massaged out and resolve on their own over time.

Swelling has almost completely gone down. I AM loving thw projection and volume of my lips. However, several bumps I have become apparent when I smile. One bump has gone down pretty good since yesterday. I am going to give it time for the other bumps to go down before I contact my surgeon. Is this normal?

I get juvederm ultra plus every couple of months and it always feels a lil bumpy especially on the inside where I can feel with my tongue for a couple of weeks- maybe 2- and then I can't feel the product at all... I think maybe sometimes they are just little hematomas that resolve

That makes me feel better. I'll be patient and see if they go down. You get them every couple of months? I thought these injections last about a year...

I think the time they last varies a lot from person to person and area injected. I have always been told that in the lips you should expect on average 4-6 months. However I metabolize mine quicker than others and so usually I go and get more every 2-4 months... I do like my lips extra plump and juicy tho!... Lol

Girl!! If only I had the cash flow I would do it more regularly. I am looking into getting botox for my smile lines, so that might be my next injection.

I was considering Botox to prevent forehead wrinkles and I've also been told by my injector and others that in the upper lip it will make the lip curl up ever so slightly and expose more "pink". I think that would look awesome with my current lip shape but I am TERRIFIED of Botox! Not sure if it's because it's a neurotoxin or all the bad reviews I read but I'm just not wrinkly enough to face my fears yet ... XD

How old are you mama? I didn't know about botox curling up the lip! That is so neat. I wish my lips did that. I'll ask my dr about botox on my upper lip. I may be naive but I'm down for botox. However, I'll only allow my dr to do it. I'm currently sponsored by my medical spa where they do injections but I would just rather go elsewhere and pay for my board certified doctor.

I am 33 and so far everything's holding up really well but I can see where I am in the very early stages of getting a wrinkle across my forehead from raising my eyebrows all the time...and the 11's between the eyebrows which are only really visible at the end of the day in my foundation...i must go from surprised to angry a lot... Lol
