I always felt my I had tiny lips. I went in for my annual breast augmentation follow up and left with the pout I've always wanted. Dr Lawton was very cautious about giving me the right amount of projection without the inflated look. He used a little less than a syringe. I wanted to look as soft and natural as possible. Dr Lawton is amazing with his work, so I knew he could achieve the best look for me. He was patient, gentle, and told me to look in the mirror regularly throughout the procedure. It meant a lot to me that he valued my opinion, and stopped when I was satisfied with the look. I know I paid for an entire syringe, but I'm not going to do more than what my intentions were just to get all the bang for my buck. I feel like we did a great job enhancing the natural shape of my lip, without overdoing it. Until next year :)

We use juvaderm for lip enhancement that can last up to two years. The bumps can be massaged out and resolve on their own over time.

Yes you had a great job, looks beautiful.

I had fat injected into my lips, at the same time as I had a mini facelift. I'm still not used to it! I guess it will take some time.

Gato12 im getting fat transfer in december along with my breast revision. How do you like the results so far? I will ask my dr to overfill my upper lip because alot of the fat will "melt away".

Lymaris your new lips gorgeous and natural. Congrats!

Dear somegirl89,
I also had a breast revision. As my very old silicone implants had ruptured. My surgeon wanted to do a complete breast lift as well as replacing implants. I'm 61 and didn't feel I would look natural, so told him to just replace the implants. He wasn't very keen on this. In the end (although he replaced 200cc with 350cc) I feel that yes I look natural.
For your lips I think being conscious and following what is done as Lymaris is much better. I only wanted a little fuller and feel my lips are too big! Now I'm hoping and waiting for the fat to be mostly reabsorbed.
I still haven't posted photos as I just don't feel I look natural!

Dont worry most of it will go away 6 months post op. I bet you look beautiful. Im taking out my implants and getting a lift. Im 26. Id also like my top lip to be big and licious so im gonna ask my dr to overfill since u lose most of the fat anyways. Good luck dear, i hope ur satisfied with your new lips a few months from now..-3

Btw ive 350cc on my boobs but i can feel them when im laying down even if ive enough own breast tissue. Can you feel yours? Mine are too high, i dont think its normal thats why im having a revision.
October 19, 2015
Yes I would agree that 350 is too much. I am slim and petite in size, so yes the "drooping boobs" has gone. But the implant just fills ALL space. 300 would have been much better I feel.

It was a little painful initially, but the juvederm itself had lidocaine in it. So as soon as the lidocaine went into effect all I felt was pressure. How do you look?!

Swelling has almost completely gone down. I AM loving thw projection and volume of my lips. However, several bumps I have become apparent when I smile. One bump has gone down pretty good since yesterday. I am going to give it time for the other bumps to go down before I contact my surgeon. Is this normal?

I get juvederm ultra plus every couple of months and it always feels a lil bumpy especially on the inside where I can feel with my tongue for a couple of weeks- maybe 2- and then I can't feel the product at all... I think maybe sometimes they are just little hematomas that resolve

That makes me feel better. I'll be patient and see if they go down. You get them every couple of months? I thought these injections last about a year...
October 22, 2015
I think the time they last varies a lot from person to person and area injected. I have always been told that in the lips you should expect on average 4-6 months. However I metabolize mine quicker than others and so usually I go and get more every 2-4 months... I do like my lips extra plump and juicy tho!... Lol

Girl!! If only I had the cash flow I would do it more regularly. I am looking into getting botox for my smile lines, so that might be my next injection.
October 25, 2015
I was considering Botox to prevent forehead wrinkles and I've also been told by my injector and others that in the upper lip it will make the lip curl up ever so slightly and expose more "pink". I think that would look awesome with my current lip shape but I am TERRIFIED of Botox! Not sure if it's because it's a neurotoxin or all the bad reviews I read but I'm just not wrinkly enough to face my fears yet ... XD

How old are you mama? I didn't know about botox curling up the lip! That is so neat. I wish my lips did that. I'll ask my dr about botox on my upper lip. I may be naive but I'm down for botox. However, I'll only allow my dr to do it. I'm currently sponsored by my medical spa where they do injections but I would just rather go elsewhere and pay for my board certified doctor.

I am 33 and so far everything's holding up really well but I can see where I am in the very early stages of getting a wrinkle across my forehead from raising my eyebrows all the time...and the 11's between the eyebrows which are only really visible at the end of the day in my foundation...i must go from surprised to angry a lot... Lol
