Buying a Laser??

Hi there. I would definitely not go down this route. A decent laser costs in excess of £100,000 here in the UK, and the q-switched lasers you find online and on ebay are small table-top devices that have very little power. You need to be treated by someone with years of experience who has removed tattoos before. Please don't treat yourself as it would be very dangerous.

I've got to agree with Chad here - aside from the obvious dangers of treating yourself, the lasers available on eBay etc are generally not powerful enough to completely remove tattoos - perhaps fade them a little only (which you've already achieved). It would be much wiser to put the money towards continuing to have the tattoo professionally removed with machines that are suitably specified to do so.

I know just saw that.

Slow

Angel.M
Why is my progress so slow I'm going on my 6th treatment wth I'm I doing wrong? I seen people with the same laser same clinic get 50% removed after one-two treatments. Its sickening already, staying positive still just need an answer to why I haven't had much progress after so long?

I haven't had this process done yet, but Ive been researching it a lot. If you've seen people with similar tattoos (age, color etc) having theirs removed faster it's probably either the type of ink used on yours, your skin/body isn't removing it as fast (everybody's different), or your ink was deeper in your skin (some artists push harder and the ink goes deeper). - That being said I can't imagine how hard this must be for you. I am probably going to be starting this process soon and am terrified... I hope the best for us both!

I had it redone, but the ink isn't that dark so I don't get why its being a pain. Maybe its lower arm tattoos that suck idk, but Ive seen some of the tattoos the artist did in the past on his brother, and they look exactly the same after 5-10 years his work looks slightly faded but it stays the same that's the crazy part he said he mainly use's Indian ink.

I don't know a lot about ink types but it sounds like the ink, his technique, or both. That's really great for tattoos people love, but just not great for a tattoo you hate. :( God I hope my artist used a cheap ink, lol. (doubtful) -- But I look forward to your updates nonetheless. It's nice to see how much it has faded.

Hello, I think your results are impressive, I don't know if you want a full removal or a cover up (that would be easily possible now) but I think your results are good after 6 treatments.Me I have got a high quality tattoo with bright colours and my god I am really close to give up.

Its no where near ready for a cover up, but that's something I'm considering doing now. But due to my new job I have to cover up anything below the elbow.

Healed, this is the discoloration I get from picosure, what should I do? Should I continue or go with Q-switch?? I feel like tattoo removal isn't working for me anymore. Hopeless....

I dont have nothing against the laser or technician I just feel I'm to dark for the laser itself.

What I suggest is discussing your concerns and  options regarding treatment with your doctor. I did find this that might help you:

HYPOPIGMENTATION AFTER LASER TATTOO REMOVAL?

Be sure to keep us posted, and hey... chin up ;)

It looks like you are on track. Your most recent treatment was only a couple of weeks ago, and it looks like it was quite an aggressive one. If your skin is anything like mine it'll take a few more weeks to calm down. Look after the area and see how it's looking perhaps after Christmas, by which point the skin should have hopefully re-pigmented a bit and the ink faded some more. If you're concerned you should speak to your technician.

I hope it does, It seems to get really swollen after treatments just thinking if that has any effects on it. I've spoken with the tech previous times she said its laser. I hope it gets better because it looks ugly

Should be getting the inner part of my arm zapped sometime this week, continuing treatments with picosure praying that I don't have any hypopigmentation -_-
