Laser Tattoo Removal 3rd Session - San Antonio, TX

WORTH IT
I have a tattoo on my forearm that I've been trying to remove for a year and a half. My first session was 2 years ago in Dallas at Dr. Tattoff. The results are typically minimal after just one session, so I was not motivatedto go back again for a while. Plus, the money. They were always pressuring me to pay in advance. I moved to SA and ffound a clinic called Me dermis to continue treatments. They are friendly and do not pressure you to do anything you'd rather not do. I have had 2 sessions with them spaced 6weeks apart. I may wait a little longer this time to let my skin recover. The "before" picture in the side by side is not my ink but a near carbon copy of how it looked before I began this process.

Thanks for taking the time to share your review, what kind of laser are you being treated with? I think it's great you are waiting at least 6 weeks to let your skin heal, I think the longer the better. When I first started my treatments I wanted to go every 4 weeks, but I learned that was not best and started to space them out 6-8 weeks. Good Luck!

I think they use the Nd YAG but I'm not certain. The clinic is Medermis.

don't try this at home

I thought I could speed up fading by applyig liquid nitrogen to the tattoo in between sessions. I did the freezing at home almost s week ago and the burns and blisters still haven't healed. I'll be lucky if I don't have major scars or develop an infection.

Do you have a pic of the tattoo with the liquid nitrogen burns, and were you advised to do so by anyone, and or what was the information/reasoning behind the use of liquid nitrogen?

And by all means, please visit a doctor for the burns if you haven't already.

I'll post a photo. I read about cryotherapy on the web.

JfromPA I just added the picture. It wouldn't have been so bad if the adhesive from my bandage hadn't ripped the blistered skin off. No one recommended it to me...I just read a lot about it as a method of removal. Not a good idea, lesson heeded.

Oh no, have you gone to see your doctor about your reaction to the liquid nitrogen?

Thanks for the pic, and I'm glad you've gained some wisdom on what should be left to the doctors. Make sure you have it checked by one, and it seems that it might take awhile but you may not end up with scaring. All the best and keep us updated.
