Worth it
Flanks staying down n saddlebacks r under control. Inner thighs are my only disappointment but hopefully I can do something else later. I do have left over dents that r not too noticeable, but dr warned me about them.
Totally worth it (except inner thighs)
My contour is so much better after a bit over 3 yrs since. The only regret is lipo in inner thighs. I have dents d dr herself warned me about. But outer thighs n flanks r Clothes fit better immediately after d procedure.
Ok, so first off: I'm about 5'9", 145-148lbs,...
Ok, so first off: I'm about 5'9", 145-148lbs, about to actually turn 36 next month. Pre-baby I was a size 0-2, 135-138 lbs. Post baby (November 2014) I am (or hopefully, WAS) wearing a size 7 in juniors, 4 in misses long/tall, which means I lost 40 of d 50 lbs gained during pregnancy. However, those stubborn, last 10 lbs have been a nightmare. Being a size 4 might b great for someone who was a size 8, but not for me. It all just meant I'd gained weight n couldn't lose it. After d baby, I exercised: weights & HIIT cardio 3-5 times a week. I've always eaten relatively well, as I am not a fan of white flours, sweets, or fried/fast foods. As a matter of fact, I'm still doing intermittent fasting. And so anyway, d last 10 never caved in, NOT one single pound of d 10...frustrating! So I considered all options n in d end I settled for lipo (for now). I chose a very popular company that only specializes in laser lipo & body contouring. N I must say I'm less that impressed with their sales tactics. I got one price at first bc I wanted to do 5 areas: inner & outer thighs, waist (love handles), and abdomen, upper & lower. (Then I ended up paying more for only three areas :( ) Since I'm about to start a new position at my job, I wanted to do it asap, so I wouldn't have to take time off later. I went to d consult on 6/11 n scheduled d procedure for 6/17. Nice, except for d fact that it didn't sink in til d next day. "Omg, what am I doing?!?!?" This is surgery, peeps! So I was super nervous...
But nonetheless, I paid my deposit and scheduled d pre-op. Met w Dr Hiers, who said a few things that made me re-think d abdomen altogether (hence I only went w three areas). So d only areas she was going to touch were d waist n both areas of the thighs---Super nervous at this point bc I didn't know what to expect, but Dr Hiers made it seem like no big deal...
Today, I'm one day post-op n feeling great. I got up this morning, went to do lab work at my reg dr, had breakfast at a restaurant, went shopping, n now I'm just simply relaxing. I haven't taken a single pain med since yesterday (which, if I may add, was a haze after d cocktail they gave me prior to d surgery). I tend to have a very high tolerance of pain, though, so don't try this at home. I did d same thing after both my c-sections, so this is a breeze to me. D pain feels more like bruising, especially in parts where d numbing agent didn't reach- yes, I got lipoed in areas that were not numb! Lol! I did jump a little but after several quick "sorry!" D doc chilled. Anyway... Not too bad. I'm happy it's over n I should b back to work on Monday w no problems. Be aware, u will leak through all areas where there r incisions bc all d numbing medicine n healing fluids have to come out. Nothing a few poise pads can't handle... Also not too bad. Ur skin (wherever d instruments were in) will feel numb for a while, as well (u can research why on d Internet). I can happily say that even though I'm very swollen from d procedure, i can c a huge difference in those areas where I received lipo. I'm so excited! I still can't believe I did this, but it looks very promising. As much as I love my mother, I wasn't crazy about d genetics she passed on to me (w major saddlebags n super love handles). I'll if I can upload d post op pics later- heading for my 1st post op shower ;)
