Lower Body Lift and Part 2 of Breast Lift/implants After Weightloss

I lost 125lb almost 4 years ago. With that I lost my breasts and gained lots of ugly skin and fat pockets. A year ago I got my breasts lifted by Dr. Alan Lim but they said I could not do implants at the same time because the lift was so extensive. I hate how the upper poles of my breasts are empty and my nipples are so high. So I do want part 2 with the implants. I also hate all the extra skin and saggy tushie. It folds over on itself when sitting and it hurts! Besides the horrific tummy I have. I even set off the alarm at the airport body scan every time because of the extra folds in my crotch! They think I am hiding a gun in there and I get frisked! (I can't go through metal detector cuz of pacemaker) Having 5 kids and going from my high weight of 292 and now at 150 plus being 56yrs old has made me a very ugly old woman! I have high hopes that Dr. Peter Fisher can fix some of my ugliness! So based on all your reviews I signed up for the lower body lift and part 2 of the breast lift with implants! I live in CA. but some of my kids live in Austin TX. so when I visited there in May I saw Dr. Fisher and felt pretty good about the giant surgery. He didn't think I neede the implants bu you can see from pictures I do! They suggested I wait till fall to do it because they said it would be to hot to wear the compression garment in the summer. That was smart since it was 110 here last week. I have tons of questions for those of you who traveled to San Antonio for this! What is the deal with the recliner? I read someone paid 250$ to rent it for the month but I saw it at rent a center for like 55$ . Is it a certain kind? My DH and I will be staying in hotel recommend by Dr. Fishers office. Do you have any tips on what you wish you knew before you did it? I am super excited but freaked about logistics and all the money I am spending on me when hurricanes, fires and earth quakes are happening to everyone else! I feel so selfish. My son said spending all that in Texas would help their economy. So I am really helping the hurricane victims in a roundabout way. Well that is one way to look at it. So any of you who have had a lower body lowering ca you give me any advice on how you managed or didn't manage it? Please!!! Like what kind of compression garment did you get? And where did you get it? HELP!!!

hi, I am a massive weight loss patient too. I have pics up and hopefully I will get some guidance from some surgeons. I know it's hard to think about spending all this money on us, but you have to start doing something for yourself. I am excited about your journey as I am mine.

I saw Dr. Peter Fisher posted on your question. I am going with him cuz he does so many and has a great technique. He also does a lot more than just the circumferal lift with the body lift even lipo for an exceptional result. ( at least that is what I have seen on this site) I was concerned about him doing my implants because it seemed he mostly did the body lifts not so many boobs. Then my sister said I was insane because anyone who could do all he does with the lift could do an augmentation in his sleep! I just hope he isn't to tired by the time he gets to the boobs! I can't even fathom performing surgery for such long periods of time! Hopefully you and I will eventually look the the fabulous babe's that much weight loss should look and feel like! We will be poor though!!

Hi Dzavy..I live in San Antonio and went to have a consult with Dr Fisher as well. after 100+ lb weightloss. He insists I need to lose another 40 lbs (I've lost 10 of that so far..it's harder when your 54 then in your 20s or 30s LOL). So I'm assuming I should look more like you than like me. I too have a very small torso and tube sock boobs and have always wondered why I set off the heat detector screens at the airport. There's always a spot in the middle of my chest...(my tube sock boob hang????) and one between my thigh (must be the jaba the hut hanging skin causing excess heat and making their detectors think I've got some kind of weapon of mass destruction hiding amongst all the folds as well.) Oh yeah I always have one more heat spot behind my left thigh right above the back of the knee...must be that other skin fold causing the equipment to freak out. Love it when I have another person who "gets" our skin issues. Try doing an exercise class where you have to jump and your thighs slap together so loud (even though you are wearing the tightest compression capris available on this earth to modern man) that everybody turns to look in your direction trying to figure out what the heck that noise was. Of course I'm doing the same thing they are all doing...looking around me as if I didn't know where that sound came from.. I had to quit cross fit ..I was so embarrassed all the time with skin slapping together thing. If it wasn't my thighs it was my butt cheeks which is worse because then it sounds closer to a fart. So you go do what you need to do hun. The poor part is temporary...the self confidence and not having to deal with the embarrassing stuff will last a life time. I was poor back in a day when the kids were young and we were barely making ends meet. I remember being so sad thinking that was the fate of the rest of my life. If only I'd had a mentor, a friend, anyone..I'd taken Cinderella's Fairy Godmother at that point, to tell me you won't be living like this forever! You will get past this. You will live in Europe (I would've then said WTH????) and be in a much better place financially and at some point want to make the choice to be a little poor for awhile to make myself happy after spending all that money making kids and everybody else happy. The poor is temporary...the looking yourself in the mirror and going "oh my (expletive of choice inserted here) I look like I've always wanted to now....is priceless and worth every day and month it takes you to get back out of poordom. :) And that's how I'm going to face my temporary poordom. thought I'd share to encourage those of us who are thinking...that's a down payment for a house or the cost of brand new car. Neither of which I need before I have my transformation surgery. :) And maybe you can wait for those things as well since your happiness will make having those other things (once you get out of poordom) so much more exciting. :)

I loved your post! Thx! By the way I am 56yrs old and was also poor raising my kids and have since visited Europe so I relate to everything you said!

I'm sorry I just realized you'd answered my post. Been like a madwoman at work these past few weeks. I'm glad my post resonated with you. I lived in Germany for 9 years working for the US Army. Loved every minute of it. It's funny how our lives change. I moved to San Antonio 5 1/2 years ago from Germany and for some reason it seems like my time overseas was a different life time ago. So weird. Anyways Now I'm working on saving my $20K for my surgery and losing the extra weight Dr Fisher suggests I should lose so I can have my partial transformation next year. I'm so excited that you are getting so close to having your surgery done. So I live vicariously through everybody else's surgeries until it is my time. Counting down the days with you. Take good care of yourself. Where did you go in Europe?

The recliner most people are talking about is the electric one that pushes you into a standing position. You'd probably not be able to rent something like that from Rent a Center.. And hence the difference in cost.
September 12, 2017
That would be cool! I will look into that! Thx

I'm super excited about your upcoming surgery! I just had a lower body lift and arm lift with Dr Fisher on Aug 23rd. So #1 thing I don't know that I could live without is/was the electric chair. I was lucky that my parents were able to find my grandma's old one(I'm pretty sure it's 100 years old). It sounds like it's going to give out on me half the time, but does the job so I'm good with it. My surgery apparently was super fun so he ended up working on me for 11 1/2 hrs and when he came to see me in recovery be was so excited and pumped up about the results of my surgery. He's such a great doctor and so honest. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions since I just went through part of what you will be doing with Dr Fisher

Oh my goodness 11 hours!! How are you doing with swelling? Did you mostly sleep the first 2 weeks? Or were you able to be up and around? So your chair is the kind that lifts you up? Did anything make things easier? Did you do anything you wish you hadn't? I bet you are looking awesome! Congratulations on finally being able to get it done!!
September 13, 2017
My swelling has gone down but I'm still swollen. I wanted to sleep the first couple of days but didn't the whole time. I didn't like lights on though. Yes, the electric chair is that one that you see that can stand you up. the electric chair and grabber are the 2 must have items for me. Also I have a walker, oh, and a pillow to sit on anywhere I go. Once I got home, things were much easier to be honest. The first time out of bed at the hospital hurt a lot and I was nauseous the almost 2 days after. So far nothing I would do differently.

And I forgot to add, I ALWAYS had to get the "special " patdown at the airport. The sweet lady that I asked the first time it happened said it was because of my sleeve surgery, I believed her. Finally, I believe it was 6 years later, a no nonsense sweet airport lady told me it was because of my excess skin. I always warned the people right behind me in line that so would take longer and offered for them to go before me. I just got used to being felt up before every plane ride-HA!

We went to England, Italy, France and Spain. My husband is half Italian and Czechoslovakian so Prague is next and more Italy. We just did Rome and loved it. However I am using an equity line of credit for my surgery so until I pay that off no traveling will be in my future! But when it is, I will only be spreading my new little bottom on one seat!
I want to share some of my favorite weight loss secrets with you to help you reach your goals. They are pretty funny but they work for me. #1 I pretend I already ate it. Food slips by your mouth so quickly and most food you already know what it tastes like. So I just say to myself " yum that was good!" #2 I think on the same lines.." I've had it before, I know what it tastes like. I choose not to have it now." Then I don't feel deprived. I also only eat stuff I really like. I do get tired of chicken and salad cuz I eat it quite a bit but I make sure to try it lots of new ways so I like it again. I love whipped cream so I plan for some on lots of my food! Like my 80 cal yogurt or strawberries on my protein pancakes or on my sugar free pudding made with almond milk. I buy the light cream or fat free cans which is 15 or 10 cals for 2 tablespoons. I eat very little bread products...well they are my favorite so I pretend to eat them a lot! Haha. You must have some great tips after all your weight loss! How long ago did you lose it and how?

Surgery is in 6 more hours!! I have waited 4 years to get this extra person off of me and it is finally going to happen. I wanted to give a a few ( I mean tons) of details about today that kinda surprised me so maybe you won't be surprised if you are next up for this.
I thought that besides the 2 hour photo and mark up with Dr. Fisher I would just go and have a super fun relaxing time with hubby. Not! We had fun together but it was a constant go, go, go! We flew in late Saturday night and stayed with my son who lives 2 hours away from the Dr. Office. Sunday I was on a liquid diet per Dr. Fisher's instructions so the family dinner and birthday highlight was a huge three tiered jello with candles on top that my daughter the dietitian made. She also told me about Ensure Clear. It is a clear liquid protein drink that was perfect for the 2 liquid days so I didn't get too hungry. It was at Wal-Mart and walgreens in 2 flavors, fruit and blueberry pomegranate. It was a 4pack for 6.75$. Boost makes one too but I did not find it. I preferred the fruit one.
Up all night going potty from all the liquid and then drive to San Antonio at 6 am.Hubby wanted to stay in for Mark up. He hardly ever see' s me totally naked cuz I won't allow it. But I decided seeing how bad this skin really is will make him appreciate the healing me and why I wanted to have the surgery so bad , so I let him. Undecided if that was smart or stupid. Hope he can get that image out of his head! Dr. Fisher made me feel so good about the surgery by noting what an incredible amount of extra skin I had. I thought if he thought that and he had seen a lot of people like me then, yes I really did need this surgery it was not just vanity! Validation is so sweet! They gave me pictures of compression spanx and bras I needed to buy and RX that needed to be filled. So we went shopping. I wish I had gotten the compression garment info before. I had read they would give me a binder thing I sorta thought that was the compression garment. But the examples were of a high waisted spanx firm support or a Maidenform Power slimmer hi waste thigh slimmer firm support. Deciding which one I liked best took quite a while. Then I remembered other people talking online about having ones that had zippers on the sides. But they were $100 more than these. I had a coupon for Kolhs so got the Maidenform one. Hopefully it is good enough. Meanwhile I got a call from the hospital admissions and had to talk to them for a little while and then I got a call from the nurse at the hospital and that was a 20 minute conversation that included listing all of your medications and your total health history and stuff like that. Not the kind of thing you can easily do while changing clothes in kohl though. Then waiting for prescriptions and trying to figure out that lift chair business was also very time-consuming. Because I knew Rent-A-Center had one that was only $100 for a whole month I tried really hard to get that one. But it turns out all of the Rent-A-Center's in San Antonio don't have them. And trying to get one trucked in from out of town was more money than going with one of the local medical supply places. The cheapest one I could find with them was $250 for 12 days which included $50 each way dropping it off and picking it up. However we just saw on Craigslist there was one for sale for one hundred dollars so my husband will decide while I'm in surgery whether he will order the one or go buy the other one and tell my son to resell it after we leave.( I am staying with him for 2 more weeks after we leave san Antonio so I can use it at his house) I guess it's kind of silly that I'm spending over $20,000 on a surgery but I'm freaking out over extra hundred dollars for this chair.
We are staying at Homewood suites and so far are very impressed. I got room with shallow tub and hand held shower head which I am already happy about! We got the kitchen stocked and computer hooked to Tv set up so we can watch our dvr Dish anywhere shows on it. Yummy broth for bed time snack and now probably 10 more trips to the potty and I will be in surgery! Can't wait for the good nap!!
