Beletero Updates--still looks great at 8 weeks
WORTH IT$450
Here's my Beletero lip line filler at 8 weeks, note: in really harsh lighting, and at 7pm after working all day. I'm still really pleased with the result. I wanted a soft and natural look, rather than the fuller bee-sting look You can see by comparing the wrinkles on my neck that my lip line is still looking smooth. Wow, I've got to do something about my neck...why is it that you fix one thing, and there's another thing that needs work. Oh well...lip success anyway!!!

I tried this procedure at Spa Black by Dr.Jeneby, after reading about it in More Magazine. It turned out great! And I had no bruising. It helped that I applied ice before and after the procedure, I think that was important, as this filler tends to leave bruising. This photo was taken about 8 hours afterwards, and I am not wearing any makeup. My fine vertical lines are filled without having puffy lips. Essentially took 15 years off my lip line. Love it!!!

Amazing! So happy for you!
Did you have the filler injected into the vertical lines or into the lips themselves?

The filler was applied only to the upper lip line, not the lips themselves. I have had lip filler in the past from a different doctor, and didn't care for the result. My lips were puffy and I still had the fine lines above the lips. I think the application to the lip line for this product was key.

How painful was the injections? I am supposed to have this very same procedure done tomorrow for my lip lines . Can you go about your normal daily routine or did you have to stay indoors for a day or so?

Hi Candy, sorry for not getting back to you earlier, hope everything went well. For me, the injections did not hurt, though it was a bit uncomfortable having injections in this area. To reduce any pain, a numbing cream was used, and I also applied ice packs to that area for 15 minutes before the procedure, and a couple hours afterwards. I think the ice packs are really important. I use them when I get facial fillers. I actually have a trick I use...I stuff a ski mask with little ice packs, and just wear it for the rest of the day. Works like a charm.

what was the name of the product. ?can you give us more detailed info? what is the name of the procedure? some of us might want to follow through with this. Thanks

Hi jeff, the product was Beletero. This is a filler that I understand is less dense than other fillers, and therefore works better for very fine lines around the mouth.

I too had Belotero for my lip lines, and it was great for about 6 weeks, then it was back to the wrinkled lip again. I was told it would last at least 3 months, so to only get 6 weeks was pretty disappointing. Please let us know how it holds up for you.

This was my second injection. The first one lasted for 8 months before I wanted a touch up.

I want to give credit to Pricilla Guitierrez who performed the procedure on me. She is a miracle worker!
