I've been wanting an arm lift for a really long time. I've been very fearful of the dreaded armlift scars. Unlike a tummy tuck or butt lift, you can't hide the scars & what's the point of getting an arm lift if you have to wear long sleeves anyway if you have to hide the scars.

But, I flew to Texas & got my arms done by the Good dr peter Fisher. I found out about him on this site. I was never a big girl, but I did get liposuction on my arms which was a big mistake. This, left me with saggy skin & loose skin on the back of my arms. No matter how hard I worked out & how much weight I lifted, I had that loose skin. I'm 5'4" & weigh 120 lbs., size 2. But that damn loose skin...I couldn't get rid of. So, I flew to Texas & got my arms done. I wish they were tighter, but they are better than before. On one side of my arm (left arm) the scar is really good, especially with dermablend, but on the other side (right arm) I had small incision breakage & so I'll probably have some scarring there. But, I've discovered dermablend & I'm hoping that this will take care of any residual scarring I have left over when the arm fully heals. By the way, I dI'd break down and buy Embrace scar therapy from Neodyne. I don't know how well that worked, as I still had incision opening despite using the Embrace. It was an expensive "crapshoot". Overall I think I'm happy, but I'm a perfectionist....& I wanted tighter arms. I'm hoping in 6 months they will be tighter with more muscle definition as I work out like crazy.

The reason I gave 3 stars on follow up, was because there was no real follow up, except for email and txt. AS I'm from out if state. Which was ok for me.
The reason I gave 3 stars for staff was the lady that took care of the payment was grumpy, but the drs assistant Joanna was really nice and outstanding. Here's some pictures of the scar on me with dermablend. I visited 2 plastic surgeons in my area & they said I wouldn't be happy with the scars & they advised against doing the surgery. They advised conservative treatment lIke thermage etc. But, I've had that before & doesn't do anything in my opinion. I didn't want to waste my money, so I went to the only dr. that in my opinion was the best & most reasonably priced. I'm happy with my left arm & I'm hoping that the scars on my right arm will fade to a nice white line in a year or so. Dermablend will continue to cover me up whenever I go sleeveless. I'll try to find before pics & post them.

I am so happy you posted this. You and I have almost the same story. I'm 5'6" and 130 pounds and had bad lipo that has left me with a sag. My biggest concern was the scars. Some of the large weight loss patients of Dr. FIsher have scars that are sometimes jagged and I want a straight, clean scar - I am going to use Embrace and hope I can hide it too. I am flying out the end of August and will have a arm lift, J lift and LBL. I told Dr Fisher that I'm doing this to look good. He says he always goes for perfection! Can you give me some details of your recovery? Please feel free to private message me.

Hi. My recovery was ok, considering I flew out there by myself & had no help. I stayed 1 night at the hospital. I also had a thighlift. I may need a slight revision on the thighlift. I didn't need anyone staying with me & was pretty much holed up at the hotel for one week. I didn't want to mess up the scars & except for back & forth to the hospital and dr Fisher's office, I stayed at the hotel. For transportation I took Uber or Lyft. My arm scars look pretty good except for that one small opening. At 3 weeks I took a trip to San Francisco & that was probably a mistake, although I took it easy, I may have forgotten about the surgery as I was feeling so good & over did it. I'm right handed & may have done something with my right arm without realizing it & had that opening near the arm pit. The recovery wasn't bad, and it just felt like a good & intense workout. Just sore. I took 4 ice packs & kept ice on my incisions wrapped around a pillow case & that helped take the edge off of the pain. I only took the narcotic for 1 to 2 nights & switched to Tylenol & Tylenol PM for sleeping. The worst part was the boredom. Make sure you get a compression garment beforehand as he won't give you one. I got mine from Marena for the armlift & thighlift. You can get Spanx from Zappos or Ebay, but it's not as good as Marena, although Marena is more expensive. My thoughts were to get the best as its a small investment as compared to the cost of the surgery. You can see my before and after & give me feedback with respect to the outcome. I'm hoping it will only get better with time....i.e 4 to 6 months for contour of arm & 6 b months to 1 year for scar. On the left arm, the scar already looks good, not so much on the right arm, but not too bad...best of luck to you!

Note: I only stayed in Texas for 10 days & flew home. Then 10 days later (approximately 3 weeKS from surgery ) I went to San Francisco. I was feeling great at 3 weeks.

By the way, take micropore tape & antibiotic cream/gel in case you have openings, you can put the antibiotic gel & micropore tape to cover the openings.
