Before/1st day post op

This review could be all over the place now. Today I'm 3 days post op. My back is killing me. Incision for tummy tuck doesn't hurt, drain areas don't hurt. I had implants as well, the incisions are in my arm pit, they are fine but my boobs feel so high and tight, like it feels when milk comes in. Can't use my arms for any pulling or pushing with getting up or down, thankfully I have excellent leg strength. Husband had to go get me a couple of moo-moo type gowns, much easier with drains and bathroom trips. First shower was awful, learned from our mistakes, 2nd shower went much better. I'll have to get to more later with more pics. Drugs kicking in now...

Although developing a relationship is a very important part of the consultation, underlying that time together is a serious straightforward evaluation, planning, and then execution of a real surgery. Sometimes it takes a few visits to really get to know each other. Thank you for trusting me to take care of you. It means a lot to me!

Today is the day!

I'm here, happy pill taken about an hour ago. Took some boob and belly measurements and last minute photos. So ready to get this done. I took the other photos down and hopefully can put together a decent photo journal.
Hopefully I can post somewhat coherently later. Say some prayers! 15 minutes away from the start of the process!

Pre-Op appointment

Pre-op and paid in full on 2/1!! It's for real now!! Talk about a lot of info to take in, at least now I have it all on paper and can refer back to it. I don't think I've said I will have MR along with the TT, anyways...Before photos were taken, yuk. I do plan to take some more before pics myself. This is one transformation I'm gonna have to see to believe.
I chose what size implants I want to get. I was off thinking it was 400cc I wanted at the consult, no it was 420cc. That said I ended up going with 460cc saline, (Mentor brand). I'll lose some cc minus swelling and going under the muscle so I should end up pretty close to 420cc look. I put my shirt on over and there wasn't a whole lot of difference vs. wearing my trusty ole padded push up. Makes wonder if I should go a little larger?? My pre-op was with a nurse so I still plan to talk to Dr. Lawton and make sure he understands I want my boobs to balance out with my large rib cage so that may or may not change when all is said done :)
Started my morning/evening daily vitamins. On 2/14 I'll start my antibiotic, arnica and bromelain. Instructions not to eat or drink after midnight with the exception of Xanax the morning of surgery with a tiny sip of water, not sure about taking that but I have it just in case. Got scripts for spasms, nausea and pain. I've already got everything filled and ready. We will be staying in a hotel the night prior and the night of. We're 2 hours from the Dr's office and I should be 1st up for the morning of the 15th and it could possibly be as early as 6 a.m. and having a follow up the very next day I don't know that I want the 2 hour trip the very next morning. So I am getting my clothes together and my bag ready to stay away a couple days.
Nutrition was stressed as being very important. For my size I am to consume 2,068 cal. and 89g of protein. Seems like a lot more than what I would consume normally so I'm keeping up with it today to see where I'm at with that. I have Colace for what will be a much needed BM, if that doesn't work I'm told magnesium citrate will do the trick.
Got my showering instructions from 2 weeks prior all the way up to the week after surgery. From now up to 2 days prior I may shower as normal but DO NOT exfoliate, apply alcohol, peroxide, betadine or other chemicals to the skin or tan. @ 2 days prior all of the above apply plus, DO NOT shave, wax or use depilatory cream or have laser hair removal. Before I go to sleep the night before surgery all of the above plus DO NOT use lotions, cream, moisturizers, make up or any other substance to the skin, NO deodorant. Morning of/ week after is the same. Surely the make up and moisturizer doesn't apply to the surgery I'm having? I'll have to check on that. Implants are going to through the armpit, transauxillary (sp?) I think is what that's called.
No bra for a month, he wants the implants to drop asap with no constrictions. I can wear a tank or camisole or something like that. No compression garment for one month.
A lanyard was recommended for the drains, I will have 3. Yay. That just really grosses me out.
Well this was long but I think I covered everything. I'm 11 days out, still super excited with a touch of nervousness, I know the closer I get that will increase. I did just read where someone said they think the better shape you're in the better you feel after and experience less pain, I sure hope that rings true for me.

December 27th had a consultation with Dr. Lawton. I liked him right away, he was to the point with everything, I feel like he's going to do a wonderful job. He's been doing this for 18 years and I feel confident that he is the right choice for these procedures.
