Four months after surgery

WORTH IT$10,000
So my wound is almost fully closed. I am no longer doing a wet to dry dressing and I am able to soak in a bath. I thought it would never end, but I feel so great now that I am able to see such a big difference. Thanks for all the support. It's coming together (literally). ????

THIS IS SUCH GOOD NEWS!! I'm so very happy for you! You have waited a long time for this. I can't imagine your relief and how good you must feel to be over such a big hurdle :-) Many blessings to you!
Thank you so much. It is amazing how much I missed everything, even work.
I was so pleased to read your update Kim, the light at the end of the tunnel huh. Now you can start to enjoy the new you.
Thank you. So excited to be normal again.
girl I went through the same had a tummy tuck 7/31 and did debridment 8/20. I fully closed in october and im just happy im passed it i dont even want revision
I don't think I want a revision either. I do not want to go through that again. It was emotionally draining. So happy you are doing better. What a relief it is.
yes im not happy with my scar but having to pack with gauze and saline 4 times a day 2 showers twice a day was such a depressing moment i seriously blocked out all the bad!! I flew out to miami to do my surgery so luckily a local surgeron took me under his wing

You have come such a long way! I admire your strength and courage to deal with all you've been through! Sometimes taking it a day at a time is to much and you need to take things a moment at a time. So glad to see that you are healing well! Hang in there :- )
Thank you very much. It is true, it does take minutes or seconds at a time. It's been a journey but all the support from this page helps get me through. So happy for you on your weight loss.
TY, I swear I feel lke the Pilsbury Dough Girl, LOL! When I was taking my preop pictures, OH MY... honey the camera doesn't lie! I was like "is it really that bad?" Yeah, it is but I have to remember that when you loose that much weight, there is going to be "leftover somethings". I've been wanting a makeover for years and I figured at 50 years old, it was time to do it! You keep getting better and I'm going to stay in touch to see how you are doing! :- ) YOU GO GIRL!!
It's great to hear some good news from you hun, fingers crossed the other side catches up soon x
Thank you so much. Not much further to go. :)

One month after stitching

All the stitches atrium but still have a opening. It is healing pretty well and getting smaller. The tissue and skin are healthy. Still doing wet to dry dressing and allowing the wound to heal. I have learned patience and to just allow things to happen how they will happen I will have an ugly scar I am afraid but that can be dealt with years from now.

It was the healing process that went bad. Everyone heals differently. He is being very good about getting this fixed and supporting me through the process. It will never look really good but that's okay. I don't think I will go through another surgery to fix the scar, at least not for a long time. It has been an emotional roller coaster. Thanks for your concern and suggestions.
I'm sorry about the ordeal you're still going through for your wound to heal. I commend you that you are still updating, some others would have disappeared unfortunately. At least this way, some of us at the start of the journey has some idea of what complication which can occur. Infections, are a bugger, but they happen. I hope you recover with no further complications.

Will your surgeon do the other surgery to sort out the scar in the future for free.
As far as the future I am not sure. It scares me to think about going through this again. So time will tell and I am not sure about if my doctor will do it or someone else.
The tissue looks really good! It will heal in no time now! :) hang in there!
Thank you. You as well.
Wow.it does look better...Hope it closes up all the way soon.Still Praying for you.
Thank you.
Wet to dry is the way to go 3xday, been there done that. Also derma wound helped me heal faster. Don't get discouraged on your revision, just wait 6 months after it heals and you will have a beautiful thin scar. I know how you feel, I'm so glad I did the revision.
Thank you for your words of encouragement. I appreciate it so much. It's been a rough road but getting better everyday.
