I had a consultation today for a full abdominalplasty with muscle repair and scheduled my surgery day for the 20th of April!!! I am so excited to finally be having this done. After the birth of my first born my weight peaked out at 276lbs. 8 months later I became pregnant with my youngest who was delivered by cesarean section. When he was 8 months old I had a total hysterectomy. I felt so yucky and gross about my body and my health that I finally said enough is enough! I started my weightloss journey with P90X which was awesome. Finished that and continued exercising but the weight didn't really start coming off until I started really watching what I ate and put into my body. I am currently 140lbs, 5' 5" and am hoping to lose 5-10 more lbs before surgery but if not I am totally ok with that also.
This is just so surreal to me! This is actually happening! I could of had it scheduled sooner but I am a former smoker (quit 10 days ago) and my surgeons office said minimum 4 week tobacco free so that put me out a bit further than I would like but my health and safety is worth a little longer of a wait.

Girl I totally know how you feel!!! I ended up weighing in 100lbs heavier than my pre pregnancy weight and have since lost 80 of those lbs. The tummy sagging over pants is the worst!!! I went to a trampoline warehouse for my sons birthday and every time I tried to jump or flip the sag had to be retucked back into my pants :(

My husband, daughter and I were doing jumping jacks and running in place the other day (we all do a 7 min workout together) and it was so frustrating that I had to keep stopping to tuck the skin back into the pants. the force of high impact workouts actually hurts when it flips/flaps/slams/yanks/etc. I am really really really looking forward to working out after surgery when I get the ok from PS because I'm sure it's going to be much easier and more enjoyable!

Congrats on the weight loss!! That's amazing!! Your TT will look amazing since you don't have any stretch marks! I had 4 big babies 11'7 lbs. was my first son and my belly was gigantic. I gained 42 lbs. the others were all a bit smaller. I had a TT and muscle repair last June. I weigh 130 and am 5'5. I still have some stretch marks but am overall very happy with my tight flat belly! You will Look amazing!! Go girl!!

Thank you! I actually have tons of stretch marks they are just very light and like a million little shreds all over my abdomen. There is no way the surgeon will be able to cut them all out as they wrap around my back and go up to my ribs but that's fine with me! I just want the extra skin gone and my muscles tightened.

Maybe adding a BA to my TT procedure

User Avatar

So over the weekend I sent an email to my PS coordinator to ask about adding an BA with my TT. She said that I absolutely could have both done but would have to come in for a consult with the dr and take measurements and choose size. I would love love love to have that done at the same time but I am a little under $2000 short if I have both procedures done. I'm going to brainstorm and try to figure out how to come up with the money, there are several people in my life that I could ask for a loan from but really really really don't like asking anyone for anything like that, know what I mean.......dang dang double dang!!! Ugh, will update as soon as I know what I will be doing as far as adding the BA.
