Dental Implants Full Mouth Top & Lower Arch

I'm almost 6 weeks into a full mouth restoration 3 on 6 procedure with Dr. Roberts, so far I couldn't be more disappointed in my experience up to now. Continual problems starting with the day of surgery, most important is my procedure is having lots of problems healing properly or implants placed incorrectly, one had to be redone due to sitting on nerve, another is most likely the same thing, there is a lack of attention given & communication as to what exactly the problem is & what will be done to correct it, Office Communications are awful, messages get lost or never delivered, The assistants usually seem disorganized & confused, Doctor Roberts is always rushed, Most disturbing though, I've never felt more disrespected by any dental medical professional office as I have here. I paid in full up front, I have no other choice at this point but to hope things turn around, and soon. Right now I'm more than a little frustrated, disappointed & highly concerned

Dental Implants Top and Bottom Arch - 1 Week Post Surgery "3 on 6"

1 week post-op implant surgery, Like most "baby boomers" (I am 59 years old) its the time in our life we face "teeth" issues, mostly the lack of them. After extensive research over the years, I was finally ready. After consulting with 3 different implant providers, I made my choice. Everyone who's checked into implants knows how expensive this procedure is, not to mention how intense the surgery & recovery can be. After consideration I opted for *3 on 6* procedure over the ever popular "all on 4", (*instead of 1 piece arch on upper & lower, the 3on6 is 3 individual bridges make up one arch, each bridge is supported on 2 implants, 1 arch consists of 3 bridges on 6 implants total*) A few reasons why. "3 on 6" naturally align with your own gums, no artifical gumline or bulky feeling in upper lip, also if there is a problem or break, its easier to fix one bridge than the entire arch, The permanent bridges are made of zirconia not acrylic for strength & most natural look, & also the cost was substancial savings over the common "all on 4" method. So last wednesday I had all of my remaining teeth pulled (20) & implants "installed", of course under full sedation, surgery was 3.5 hours, with no complications. Post surgery - the best part is I had little to no swelling, and only 1 very small bruise. Thats rare for me since I bruise easy & often, But the painful part is actually healing where all teeth have been pulled. Mainly due to the many bone fragment slivers working their way out of my gums. The worst part is the hard plastic temporary denture that was made to wear while healing, after day 1, I could no longer wear from the pain it was causing. Today I went in to have stitches removed & he took impressions again for a new temporary denture that will be soft-lined since I cant be without teeth & the hard plastic denture with big ugly teeth isnt working for me. TIP - The best thing for pain after 4-5 days is to do this several times a day, I mix course sea salt with warm (hot) water, swish or hold in mouth for 30 secs & repeat. (Must wait 4 to 5 days after surgery to this to avoid possible dry socket) I cant stress how helpful that has been to control pain, & help bone slivers work their way out of gum. Ill update in a few weeks. and yes, the cost was $21,500 for upper & lower with sedation.

After extensive research, asking questions & 3...

after extensive research, asking questions & 3 consultations with different providers, I scheduled my procedure for May 2018. tooth Implants have been around for decades but originally was only done for each tooth individually, which was way too expensive & too many implants, in my opinion. But since the all on 4 became so popular, Ive been considering it for a while now. This past year I found a implant specialist offering a newer option to the all on 4. Instead of a full arch (top & bottom) supported on 4 implants each, he offers a procedure using 6 implants supporting 3 bridges on each arch, (top & bottom) The benefit I see from this method is no artificial gum line so food doesnt get stuck under gum. I also like the fact that if something breaks or fails, only 1 piece would have to be fixed instead of removing the full arch. This procedure is also more affordable than the typical all on 4, but I dont know why that is. I also found this to be the only implants that have a 5 year gaurantee. Ill keep you updated
