8 weeks and what a relief!

Just have a moment to relay updates, but boy, am I enjoying my breasts! As suspected, time was the only cure to the concerns I faced early on. While my left breast had some challenges for the first six weeks or so, it continued to drop and reflect the changes in my right breast.
At this point, they are fairly symmetrical, with little to no obvious differences when wearing a bra. I went to Macy's and got fitted. Turns out I ended up as a 34 triple D. I was both surprised and delighted at this discovery. I am finding it a bit more tricky to find sizes at the usual discount department stores I frequented in the past. Although, I will say Nordstrom Rack had a nice selection of bras in larger sizes at a 50% discounted rate.

After 3 weeks we're seeing progress!

Just a quick update post and an encouragement to be patient! The girls are changing and as the bruising subsides, my left is dropping. My right is fluffing; such a good girl :)

A bra to change your life!

I'm not kidding. I thought spending another $60 on top of $6200 seemed excessive. But make no mistake: when you are finished with your BA procedure, you will want a bra worth it's weight in gold (on the comfort scale).

I was given the standard fare at the clinic. I even tried buying a less expensive post-op bra; don't waste your time!

Here's why:
Your incision site: it is typically directly under your breast fold ( inframammary). This is not an ideal spot for an elastic waistband to rest- ouch! Your incision will be sore and if nerves have been severed, the shock-like pain hurts and a snug band rubbing around only exacerbates the irritation.

Material & sensitivity: nothing scratchy or suffocating, like polyester. This bra has no inner seam lines and is lined with silky, smooth fabric.

Pressure on ribs: I found increased aggravation of all pain because the band on the cheap-o bra was ever-so-slightly pressing into my ribs. Post-BA, all the muscles, skin, and structure of your chest area are shifting. You want to minimize any additional pressure in the wrong place.

And this bra is adjustable on the nice, wide, shoulder straps.

For the first 10 days after your BA, ditch the almost-sexy options and go for comfort and support. Plus, I think it's pretty chic for what it is.

I didn't intend to advertise for this bra, but DAMN! It has changed the game for me.

I bought mine on Amazon, size medium (I previously sent back a large):

So far, friendly phone staff; knowledgeable, helpful. Submitted a virtual consultation with pictures and received feedback from the doctor within a few hours. I replied with follow-up questions to which he again replied within the day. Really liking the communication so far.
