So I am trying to find out if the fat is still viable after Vaser liposuction for fat transfer. I emailed my doctor beginning of the week and no word back, I posted a question in ask the docs, no word.... I am just worried to spend so much money and it not be worth it....
P.S. my water heater just broke :( this is going to be a stressful time as my hubby already was not on board for the procedure and he will think its just so much money on top of repairs.... sometimes I think this whole thing is so vain, maybe I should just go with the kids to Disneyland... lol.... I am having doubts.

I am 33, have been pregnant 4 times, have breastfed twice. I weigh 142 right now and am 5 foot 5. I am working on losing 7lbs before my surgery date as that is my goal weight... I mean realistic one for me ;) if I could be 120 again like in my 20s I would love that! haha... for now 135 is perfect!

Good luck! I know someone else who had a successful fat transfer with Vaser Lipo. They are 2 years out and have had good retention. Keep us posted and congrats on scheduling your surgery!

I am sure you already know this, but I checked out your doctor as I am always curious who is doing fat transfers and I noticed she is not board certified in plastic surgery, but family medicine. Not that being board certified in ps guarantees anything as my doc was board certified but apparently lacked liposuction skills even though she was good at transferring fat but I just wanted to mention it. I am sure you are already aware of it. My friend also used a cosmetic surgeon not a ps and had good results.

Yes, I was hesitant as well... I emailed her and she put my mind at ease, she performs lipo regularly and is a perfectionist... I was going to go with someone in Canada who was board certified, and a plastic surgeon, but I had to go with my gut and move forward with Dr. Allen... I have to have faith from now on i guess... :)

I wish i had read your comment before wasting money and having my surgery with her

Wouldn't it be better to retain the extra fat for the transfer?? You're going to get lipo in the areas you want to reduce anyways..

I have heard that you should be near your goal weight? I am sure my breast area will lose weight first, then my arms... its the way it goes for me, so it should all work out ;)
