I have been so thankful for everyone who have posted their breast augmentation journeys on Real Self that I thought I would add my own I’m case it helps anyone. I’m 5’6” and weigh 140 lbs. I had my lift/Augmentation just a few weeks ago. I had very saggy and asymmetrical breasts after breastfeeding 5 kids. My PS decided to go with smooth, round silicon 310 CCs. I wanted the final result to be a natural looking C cup.

Drains
My plastic surgeon routinely uses drains. They were a bit of a pain but I was glad that my body was able to get rid of all that extra blood s d fluid. I had the drains in for a week. I didn’t take any pictures while they were in, but here are a few right after the drains were removed. I’m a bit sad that my breasts are so bruised and swollen. My guess is because of the lift. A lot of other augmentation reviews on this site show beautiful augmented breasts without any bruising after surgery. I’m hoping mine will look better and better.

I had two consults and they each had a different opinion.
In February of 2018 I had two consults. The first one said no lift and 350 ccs. It was very quick and I know this first surgeon has great results but I feel like I didn’t get a chance to ask questions. I was nervous that I would just end up with bigger but still saggy asymmetrical breasts.
I then went for a second consult. This PS encouraged me to get a lift. And although getting the lift meant it was going to be almost twice as much money wise and I would have the Periareolar incision which could mean more visible scarring, I still felt more comfortable with this approach. I also like the fact that the second PS was going to order 3 sizes (290, 310, 335) and then decide which one to actually put in during surgery.
With the first surgeon I would have had no lift, 350 cc with the incision in the breast fold. I wonder if this would have given a similar result size wise and may have looked really natural because they would sag somewhat. However, I just couldn’t get over the asymmetry thing? Maybe he would have put 2 different sizes of implants in? Anyway to make a long story short, I have seen friends who have had great results with both of the surgeons I saw. I just wish surgeon #1 would have spent a little more time with me explaining his approach. So I did go with PS#2. I ended up getting a Periareolar lift, then with Naturelle inspira 310 cc SRM (smooth round moderate) under the muscle. I really wanted a natural looking breast augmentation. I was hoping no one would be able to tell. But right now, they are very round and perky. I hope the settle, become softer and a little less noticeable.

Looks good. Yep, same ones. They do soften up. Hope you love em :)

Thank you. I was hoping they would look just like yours. But they seem bigger on me. Although, just in the past few days they have seemed to settle down, thank goodness.

The 1st PS could of fixed the size difference w/2 diff size implants but if he didn’t give you time to answer your questions, I wouldn’t want to consider him. I hope the 2nd PS did enough of a lift w/using the same size implant to fix your size difference. Once all your swelled goes down and d&f happens you’ll see your final results! I had to be sized 3 times, so be patient! It gets better. Please rest, follow your PS orders and take it easy. Happy healing dear-l@@king great so far!!! ❤️

Thank you! Yes, I believe both PS thought they would use two different sizes. However, when the PS actually got in there during surgery, he noticed that the breast tissue was actually quite similar. It was just that one side just had a lot more skin, so he took more skin from that side during the lift. I’m hoping everything settles out even. Thank you for your comment, it’s always nice to have some encouragement and feedback on these journeys.

How are you feeling about the periareolar lift? Seems like a good way to for a small bit of lift, while avoiding added scars. And perky is great- still natural!

I am in your same boat, can go both ways. I keep reading about flat breasts in the front from the donut lift. your look good. any flatness look in front?

June 2, 2018
I’ll post an update soon, but they look better and better every week. I don’t feel like they look flat in front now that they have settled.

Sorry, I don’t check this very often. I’m now a year out from surgery. They are very soft and natural looking. The size is perfect. They did settle a bit and I lost some of the upper poll fullness. But they are definitely better than the flat asymmetrical ones I started with. They still have roundness looking from the front, but are very natural looking.
