I was suffering from acne outbreaks so i decided to go to a dermatologist when i was 18 and she gave me a series of microdermabrasion and chemical peels over the course of about a month. After this, my skin broke out into the worst cystic acne I've ever had and i was traumatized from this. I looked in the mirror and suffered a lot of mental breaks and severe depression because i thought my skin would look like that forever. The acne started to clear when i stopped washing my face and started using lotion. I cannot decide if my skin will ever return to normal or if it is perpetually textured with these weird comedone-like bumps that are covering my cheeks(you can clearly see them in the worst flouresent lighting). Ive been using glycolic acid lotion which has evened out the texture incredibly, although i am still not satisfied and I'm not sure if I'm just having an ocd moment or if there is something really wrong with my skin. i feel as though the dermatologist was either inexperienced or deliberate in her harm done to my skin. I think she had bad intentions and the whole dermatology field is the most corrupt in regards to medicine.

Have you tried retna a.....it really does work you just have to be patient...good luck!

I've been using an AHA(glycol acid) which actually been working fantastically i might wait for the retinolic acid

I'm not sure that micro is supposed to be done when there is active acne, so I'm not surprised this messed up your face. What type of chemical peel was it? I would go see another derm and ask about Accutane. It might help and is worth at least asking about. I've seen derm for years and they have always prescribed topical and oral medications and I'm not sure any suggested a chem peel or micro.

The fact of the matter is acne comes from inside out.I took accutane( for my face which was like yours maybe not even as bad as you and it was great. My face cleared up like a baby's bottom. All the blackheads turned white.but then I needed to do it a second time. My 17 ur old son has breakouts on his checks I've done lactic acid peels on him myself and it worked good. I left it on longer till it burned a little. Then it dried up nice. But I need to do it every month. I hope this helps. I also believe acne comes from bad bacteria in your gut.fungus bacteria So I also would do a fungi protocol from an holistic Dr. U just take pills for 2 months along with a good probiotic to put back the good bacteria ur gut needs. I hope this helps you. It works from the inside out.

Demodex mites causes skin to have bumps in every pore. Kind of like textured skin with waxy buildup. Do you have this?
