Saline breast implant removal after 8 years with lift or fat grafting

Saline breast implant removal after 8 years with lift or fat grafting.

WORTH IT
After three children I was left with a loose and saggy tummy and very separated abdominal muscles and saggy breasts. A year after my third child I had a hip to hip tummy tuck and abdominal repair with mesh. Both a plastic surgeon and a general surgeon were involved on the day of that surgery. A year later I had about 340 cc saline implants placed under the muscle. I got an unexpected surprise two years later with a fourth child. It stretched the tummy out a bit again and due to that and weight gain and time my breasts lost some of their upper shape and dropped a bit. Over the last couple of years I’ve had a myriad of health issues: chest pain, chest tightness so due to that and the heaviness of the breast I’ve deceived to have them removed. I will either have a lift with the implant removal or far grafting.

I don't think you need fat grafting, jmo they say to just get the explant and wait for the lift if at all, your breast 'fluff' in time, as well as leaving the capsules in to heal themselves. Happy explanting!

Thanks! Yeah I’m thinking the same thing. I’ve seen how the fluffing can definitely work. We’ll see next week what they look like. So ready to get the implants out..all that heaviness!!

Fat grafting is okay for dent filling but many girls I've talked to privately either lost it all or the ones who didn't have hard painful cysts after it. Research fat necrosis, oil cysts or lumps after grafting. It's also very hard to predict where fat will survive. You could actually end up worse off. Maybe look into it in a year or so. Let your body heal first. Better outcome that way.

It’s official now

Met with the doctor today and signed all my final forms and put my money down. It’s official now! I go next week to first have my implants deflated and then they will stay that way for five days until I have them removed. We will see what my chest looks like after all this time. If not too saggy then I may choose a fat transfer but if they are not what I could live with then I will be having a lift. I’m nervous but excited.

Why are they waiting to remove after deflating? Mine are being deflated and removed at the same time. You'll be so happy you did! Happy healthy new you!

I see. I've heard it takes 6months-12 months to total fluff back and then at that time to make a decision of lift (if that's what you want) in 5 days there won't be a big change, it's just not enough time. Is Dr. knowing this and just going with that?

You'll know whether you want a lift. I'll predict you do just because the extra skin is tricky. I tried to wait it out and not get one but tucking skin into bras to fill them was depressing me. The lift corrected asymmetry that i forgot I had. I had implants for 23 years. I thought that would have fixed the size difference but it didn't. Either way, it's nice you'll get a peek before you have to decide. I couldn't do that with silicone. Best wishes to you. I'm over a year implant free and it's honestly been one of if not THE best year of my life.

I appreciate that! I’m looking forward to being healthier. I am glad I get a peek before the final. I’m really feeling that a lift will be what I go with.

So ready to be lighter and healthier. I think because I didn’t know what I was going to be left with - deflating this and then letting me decide seemed like the best option.

Why are they deflated if your explanting you want to have the whole implant in tach when removing so there is no chance of any toxic properties from implants getting into your system could make a person very sick

It’s already been done. I didn’t get sick so all is ok.
