I had a face lift,fat transfer,and nose job by Dr....
I had a face lift,fat transfer,and nose job by Dr. Drehsen. I'm not very happy with my poor results and he's lacker of interest on handling my concerns, He's response was DON'T OBESSES YES right after spending almost 30.000 on my face I expected I was getting the best WRONG.Face lift was ok no problems . The fat transfer he has very little knowledge on the subject , DONT WAIST TIME AND MONEY what is holding him back is He acts like he already knows everything about it there for he will not learn anymore. If you need fat transfer I fould a wonderful expert on fat graft that put Dr. D to shame in many ways caring, professional and he actually listen to yours need and wants and try to help get the look you want he's in Baltimore Dr. Ricardo Rodrigues he fixed the mess that Dr. D did on my face check pictures. The results for my nose absolutely unacceptable ,I made the mistake to get a revision from him and turn out worse then the first one, so more money,time out etc… to fix my nose .He all so performed a lip lift because after the face lift my mouth was weird, he sad was the only way to fix my mouth but it didn't do a thing to change the appearance of it, this was the same time as my nose revision,He did NOT lift enough and lips not centered with the nose again more surgery more $$$$ I was all so paid to get a fat transfer, when I woke up from anesthesia I went to the bathroom i looked in the mirror could NOT believe my eyes he did NOT do my fat transfer at that time i was very upset , but work out for the best because I have learned a lot about fat graft it has to be harvest, prepare and re injected in a exactly way to be a successful so they will survive. When I asked him he had no answer for me, i had two consults about it i paid for it and all just crazy. He give me my money back. I'm embarrass to say how much I had to spend to fix Dr. D wonderful Refresher face lift, and I truly hope this helps you to make the right choice, It's been a loooong painful for me ,after he's face lift I had two more surgery in less then one year and still more to go.I really think should be some laws changed so plastic surgeons will take more responsabilities on what they create Dr. D its like this You have surgery results are great, good if its no good he doesn't owned up, admit or try to help to find a solution he left me hanging IT'S NOT OK !!!!! and ITS NOT OK that I had to spend so much money to fix he's mistakes and never mind the pain, time cooped up in the house recovering .The recovering for the refresher lift is very long I looked like a monster for 7 months. I got one of the most dangerous infection don't remember the name from he's office after stitches removal it took 4 bottles of antibiotics to clear up.They recommended a nurse to care for me at my house she was absolutely heartless , I wonder how someone like that becomes a nurse, I pay her and send her out the door. Things I observed while in he's care: They like $$$$ thats all the matters.only one staff there showed they care and compassion Stephanie she's a sweet heart.Its very hard to communicate with Dr and get questions answerd.The hospital hard to find , it did not help that the pacient coordinator give me wrong address ,the nurses are very rough my arms and body all screeched from finger nails,my rib was out of place thank god my husband is a chiropractor and fix me up is the worst pain ever!!! When coming out of anesthesia the nurses communicate from long distance so they have to shout it was terrible I could go on and on … I wanted to write this review for a while now but I hate writing a bad review but I owed to you out there looking to look better I'm Waiting for a day that laws will protect us from Drs like this one.

I forgot to mention about my eyes, Dr. Drehsen recommended removing the fat under my eyes, I didn't agree it, but trusted his judgment . I didn't really have any fat or bags !!! BIG MISTAKE. I DO NOT regret I love my results now just wish was right the first time.

I'm really not clear as sounds like you say he recommended removing fat under eyes which you didn't agree with (usually they are adding fat) then you say you love results so could you please clarify what you had done that you are happy with and your lips look great and what was used to get that result and how long does it last as some of us have expressed, don't have money to get fillers even year or so (that's why I'm looking for a doctor in Tampa Bay area experienced with fat transfer...EXPERIENCE IS KEY

When i did not like is when I had my face lift and fat transfer with DR. Dhrehsen. Yes removed fat from my eyes big mistake and then I had fat transfer to it with Dr. Rodriguez What I'm happy is after re doing it with Dr. Rodrigues.My lips are result of multiple fat transfer each time I keep it a little bit. Best solution for lips is lip implant its cheap and simple. I will be getting my next year. Yes good luck if you find one let me know, first check out Dr R site it's a lot of good information about fat injections that if you want done you should know. Good luck

Thank you for clarifying as verifies I was right to not choose dr,D ...I hope I can find this dr. Rodi guess which am I correct you are happy with the fat transfer to your face but why would you get lip implants next year as they look beautiful so is it just not lasting in the lips? From what I've read it seems really important that they spin the fat and that requires a special expensive machine... I have asked some places and the person answering the phone won't even know what I'm talking about and then they will say, oh yes we do that almost like an after thought. Am I correct you will have the lip implant in upper and lower by dr. R? Is he in tampa or st pete?

room. Anyone who does fat transfer, which should be anyone who is a plastic surgeon. knows and uses this procedure. the fat lasts for years in cheeks, So much better than fillers. Now I used restalyne about three months ago. I'm watching to see how long it lasts, first time. Dr. Sykes did it and she evened out the uneven lips and now they are medium size and OK for my age. I hate that duck look too.

So if a doctor says in an e-mail that "centrifuge is controversial and we do clean the fat and prepare it be placed when is 100% clean and nice and yellow." would you interpret that means they aren't doing the spinning procedure you have personally witnessed to last a long time? I am sure I heard that was the only way but more than one doctor has said they don't do it and now I don't remember or trust what to believe but I do recall the machine to do it is very expensive and not all are going to buy it so maybe they use excuses?

I just want to mention that looked like they had a staph infection and someone else I was reading today one month antibiotics didn't work and she recommended Ichthammol ointment 20% bought online and it cleared it up

Lucky you told us I thought this doc was one of the best. I would never pay 30,000 to anyone unless I was buying a house. I paid every 4 years after 40 and the face looks great.

Yes it is ! IT IS based on my personal experience and true observation . That is why I was dreading on writing this review I wrote 4 times and 4 times deleted . This is not even the whole story will take too long, but I felt the obligation to others and to get out of my chest. Thank you

you should write what you said to the Agency for Health Care Administration. They'll make a surprise visit and check it out. You can make it anomynous. I would have told him off, oh, thank God I wasn't there. I am for the patient always. He makes over 200,000 a year. What a jerk.

I wish you wore there LOL . I PUT total trust on him,because I sow in person a good result, I'm over his pictures I don't trust them anymore.I guess I was the unluck one .I'm happy to hear that you are a good professional, God bess you. I think he's punishment will come. I think he's making a looooot more then that !!! I'm all right and well balance person otherwise could been worst. I look very good people think my kids 22 and 27 are my sisters I had them young 21 my first. To be honest with you I did really need a face lift yet, didn't want to see my self getting old I was 47 last year. Thank you for your kind words

Thank you for your post. I had some uncomfortable feeling about this doctor when I read some of his good reveiws... I was never sure why... My mom always said 'trust your instincts'. ... I'm very sorry for your cost and your problems, but grateful you were willing to share.

Hi cworchid so you were only happy with the facelift with Dr. D. not the fat transfer and nose revision right? But you are happy now with fat transfer to face eyes and cheeks what else? with Dr. Rodriguez he did an excellent job on the fat transfer am I right? I like it very much and I'm interested in the fat transfer because what I heard it's that fat transfer last forever. Thank you so much for sharing your surgery experience with details and pictures. Fat doesn't last forever, but on me it lasted 10 years. On others, they say it doesn/t last but a few months. It depends were it is injected. In lips, doesn't last. In face a long time for me.

Hi, Meli.Yes that's right!!!!! I'm very happy with my results my face look so nice now very natural since its been 14 months post op yes Dr. D did a excellent job on FL i coud not ask for better but I don't recommend him
. Yes FT lasts forever after they take but has to be done right. Those people that don't last its because of poor technique of procedure. Check out on Dr R site he explains in details., that's the reason I went all the to Baltimore. Thank you . Good luck

Whatever you do don't use Dr. D my face lift was supposed to cost 20000 but end up costing me 50000 with all the repairs

Hi cworchid thank you for answering some of my questions. well I really liked your lips outcome they look so natural full n sexy before they were so thin, now they match you! Brazilian exotic girl! I have 2 plastic surgeons in mind for my facelift, but I know I will need some fat transfer to my eyes after a botched surgery I had with a butcher "surgeon" that's why I liked reading your ft surgery. You did have ft around your eyes right? I hope I don't need ft to my lips, lol. Whenever you go to Brazil to have a procedure done please post it here in RealSelf forum.

No, well of course he didn't take responsibility whatsoever you know how it is with most surgeons they do not accept their mistakes. I am considering Dr. Alberto Arguello in Costa Rica for facelift and is another one the does Baltimore style, and I really like his results too, so I'm considering him too. and if I need ft. after fl. I'm considering your doctor, because so far he is the best I have seen on fat transfer. I have read terrible stories about fat transfer by yours were a success! My eyes are the ones I feel like I will be needing some fat transfer to it, because they are hollow the butcher here, removed a lot of fat and skin, and left me with long indented scars on both sides of my eyes, it's a sad result that I haven't been able to resolve this happened 13 years ago. Now I'm 54yrs old, and have saggy cheeks, because he removed fat from my cheeks too without my consent. Oh well what can a say. I know my facelift will resolve my saggy cheeks. Is Dr. Pitanguy from Brazil? Love your pictures!

she bought in France. It was amazing, no swelling only 715 dollars and no one in my
home even noticed. But you could see how perfect the lips became formed. No Donald duck look. Just fullness, my lips were pretty OK but I just want fullness and roundness and that's what I got. I even had a picture how full. I love Angelina Jolie but that would make it ovious and make me look older. I have no creases on my upper lip.
Well, get yourself a good surgeon, which I thought this guy was the best, and stick with the good surgeon.
I had my upper eyelids done today. so i'm really all done doing stuff, but I would like permanent inplants. do you know she did a terrific job on my eyes. but when I got home she had not cleansed my face to clean off all the dripping blood.
thank God I know all about this; I cleansed my face put on Neosporin, and I had to ask her or tell her I wanted antibiotics. such an invasive procedure and I had to ask her for antibiotics. I worked ICU and all the docs would leave the patient in a tizzy and I would run in and clean all the blood sheets. I was an RN and then went back to college and became a Phsycian's Ass't I would never let the patient leave with blood dripping. but she did a good job and I fixed my self up with sterile techiniue so I would heal nicely. Now I need to look for another doctor to do implants in lips and possibly cheeks. I'm goingto wait till all heals. Sclupture for the cheeks Is a filler that can't be stopped if you don't like it. But it lasts 2 years I'm pretty sure. I'll read on it let you know. OK

halo yet, it seems like you need to do it 3 times. each time it cost about 1400 and

to a new young surgeon and he told me my lips were great, full, and I didn't need anything. But you know scar tissue builds up in the lips if you fool around with them. Years ago they used derma grafts, like strings in lips. 3-4 strings in upper and then again in bottom. After ten years, I got infected and had them removed.
on removal scar tissue was left. Enough to make my lips medium size. I don't use
lipstick too much, just light rose or plum. thank you all for listening to me. the best thing now is perma lip, I think. Please share with all of us what you think. Fillers are great but 6 months is a short time as we age. I am embarred the first week as the li blow up a lot. SO I'm waiting for an opportune time to do it. This is tricky, because some docs charge 3500 and others charge 2000 and do just as great a job, from what I've seen on RS.
