Getting there!

I haven't posted any recent pics or given an update in a while. I am still waiting for my Necrosis to finish closing. But my swelling is pretty much resolved and I'm getting around really well. My stomach is still very tight but I can stand and move pretty good. I do a lot of walking but haven't really done any exercising and stretching.

I will post some current nacrosis pics soon.

Necrosis week 7 update

Dr Peterson cleaned out some more dead tissue last week. I have been getting lots of gunk out each time I change my gauze. I don't know if its an illusion or swelling but I think my hole is drastically smaller then it was this morning! I really can't wait for this to be over. I'm still hunched over quite a bit on most days and walking funny on all days. I'm not forcing myself to stand up completely straight or stretching too much because of the Wound.

The tissue looks healthy. It is a long process for sure. My wound is still pretty open but smaller than before. I have one spot on the right side that is very painful. The nerve has come back and it is just pain all day. Have you had any of this happening. I posted more pictures feel free to check them out I am 11 weeks PO.

Sorry I've been away for a while. I did have a lot of nerve pain on my right side. It started from the edge of the Wound and went up to my rib. It was really strange. It's stopped now though and I have no feeling there. My doctor is going to allow the Wound to finish filling its self in and then do some revision to the scar when the skin is healthy enough. Do you still feel tight, stiff and swollen? I'm wondering if the Wound causes delays in overall recovery.

Yes I do feel very tight still. I am pretty sore around my waist especially when I have pants on or something pressing on it. I am really scared to have revision surgery because I fear for the same outcome when healing. Do you get nervous about that? I hope that the wound causes delayed recovery because I do not think I should still be this sore and stiff. My wound is looking much better and the nerve issue comes and goes, I guess as they grow back. Hope you are doing well.

6 Weeks- Necrosis Update

Dr. Peterson has been so attentive through out this whole process. I am a BIG baby and cry about everything. Still swelling, still sore, working, driving, going to school..... I just want to feel normal again. Maybe some depression going on. I couldn't even imagine exercise right now.

Anyway I'm posting progress pics of my Wound. Dr. P cleaned it out a bit a couple of days ago. It was very gross and stinky. The white/yellow (dead tissue) stuff turns to a liquid and kind of oozes out. The pink hamburgar looking stuff is what I'm aiming for. (New heathy tissue from the inside out.) While it's still oozing he has me packing it loosly 3 times a day with dry guaze. It still freaks me out putting my fingers in there even though there is no sensation.... Ewwww The edges actually hurt though. :(
