Super excited and yet so terrified of the risk of BA. I get there are risk for everything in life but Im absolutely horrified of bottoming out and capsule contractur. To my understanding there are ways to lower the risk but I'm still so scared. How did you guys get over your fears? And fill me in on more ways to lower the risk as well.

(Sorry, hit "post" button on accident). ... I Have been worried here and there post op too! ;) this forum helped me SOOOOO much!! Also, following all dr's orders (every last bit of them) helps diminish any likelihood of things going wrong! It really is an exciting process so focus on ALLLL of that and come to the forum/group of gals here with questions ... There's ALWAYS another woman on here going through something similar or able to ease your mind and answer questions. You'll do great! Have fun and we'll be thinking of you!!!

I went to pre op yesterday and I was so set on 400 cc but once I tried on the sizers I could barely tell a difference. So after I tried on every single one they had to offer I fell in love with 550cc but since we are going under the muscle and you lose cc's when going under we chose to go to 600cc. Which I'm completely okay and satisfied with. It's a little over 2 weeks and I can not wait!

I am getting 600cc on May 21st. I am sooo nervous. I only wanted to go to 450cc but my PS pretty much said I have to go to 600cc to get the look I desired.

I went in at 10 am to have my BA . When I got there I paid the rest of my balance and then they took me back to get preped. The nurse had me sign some more consent forms, get a urine sample, check my weight and change into a gown. The nursed had me cover all my hair with this lovely mesh shower cap and then lay in bed. She checked my vitals and then stuck an IV in my hand. I was shaking and sweating so bad from all the nerves. She calmed me down and reassured me that everything would be fine. She placed these knee high socks on me and then put these compression wraps on both my calves. They continuously squeezed and released to keep my blood flowing. A few minutes had passed and the anesthesiologist came in, asked me some questions, amd explained what he was going to do. some time had passed; my PS came in with my boxed implants which freaked me out because of how big they looked (600cc's ) . He marked me up and told me it would be a few minutes till the wheel me in. Once they wheeled me in the nurse had me slide over to the bed next to me; they strapped my arms down like an airplane type position. Then she put a blue mask over my mouth. As I was jamming out to the music was playing I was out. I was then wheeled to the recovery room. I woke up screaming and crying because of how much pain I was in. I knew it'd be painful but I didn't think it would be to that extent. I was worse then labor. Worse then healing from a csection. It was the worst of the worst pain I have ever experienced. I was told it'd feel tight, heavy and hard to breath. I seriously felt like I was beatin with a bat in the breast area. The nurse tried to manage my pain but it was barely working. An hour had passed and I went from a 10 (being worst) to a 5. I told the nurse I was okay to go home. I had 2 nurses dress me (which was nice) and the sat me in a wheel chair, and wheeled me to another recovery room where my husband was waiting.

I got home and I felt like I was going to pass out from all the pain. I sat on the couch and cried as my husband set up a spot for me and got my meds. 3 doses of pain meds later and I feel fantastic. I know feel the tightness everyone was talking about. No pressure though. My left breast is 2 times as swollen and tighter than my right. I made the beautiful mistake to scratch my face as I was napping. So that's my bad. My PS called me to see how I was doing pain wise and asked to see me in the morning to check everything out and make sure I did mess up anything. Such a sweetheart. Hopefully the swelling will go down soon, it's starting to freak me out.

Did anyone else have that feeling you get when your milk let's down when breastfeeding? I keep having that feeling. It's so weird. I'm also super itchy. Probably from the pain meds. Does anyone know how to tone down the swelling?

Oh my goodness I'm so sorry you had so much pain! It really is different for everyone I guess, but I am really glad you're feeling some relief now! I was very itchy too for the first two or three days... I was restless bc I couldn't stop scratching. I did some research bc I was worried I was allergic to the pain meds, but I found out that anaesthesia can cause itching for a couple days after. Good luck at your appointment in the morning, hopefully it's just normal swelling and nothing of concern;)

I think I just went to big for my body to handle. My PS said that I could take it but I was having my doubts. The nurse told me the bigger you go the more pain you will feel. Which would have been nice to know a head of time. I felt so bad for the girl that was next to me on the other side of the curtain. Oh no!! What did you take for the pain since you were allergic? I think it's just strain swelling. It's tight and swollen but not painful or warm to touch. My incision doesn't hurt, it's not leaking. I think I'm fine but it's so weird looking down and seeing boobs let alone one gigantic one and one normal one. Lol. How is your healing going??

My healing is going well, thanks!! That makes sense you'd feel more pain the bigger you go. And I only had 385's. I had Percocet for the pain but I switched to extra strength Tylenol after a couple days. My right one felt more tight and swollen than my left for the first couple weeks. Looking forward to seeing your progress;)

I've been thinking about taking Tylenol Along with the percocet. Did it help more using the Tylenol? my PS said tomorrow I can take ibuprofen 800 to help with the swelling. He said my swelling is normal for how big i went. I wanted to slap him since he said my body could handle it. Im also suppose to do these extremely painful "boobie push" to help them settle in the right places.

I had excruciating pain my first day -- and the few following! It was very unbearable and my Percocet + muscle relaxers hardly helped! It will pass -- hang in there and stay up on your meds for sure :) it's alllllllll worth it

For a few more days!? Holy cow. that stinks. You are one tuff cookie. I have alarms set for when to take them. I read it's better to be ahead of the pain before it strikes. I'm already so in love with them. when does the hard swelling go down?
May 30, 2015
Jeeze the pain is different for everyone!!! I'm sorry you were in so much pain that's terrible!!! I just got 600cc last week and am same exact stats as you!!! Honestly for me... the first few days the pain wasn't bad at all... just stretching feeling and more shoulder n back pain but I have a high pain tolerance. The worst has been the last few days which were fir me post op day 6 and 7. Probably because I went back to work and am doing too much. But that's how it goes I guess I have a 10 month old too so I'm definitly not following the rules as much as a single mother I really can't. So that's pry why my pain is more later! Keep up with your pills cuz you are right to get ahead of it!!! :) I think your new boobs look great so far and from what I can tell look similar to mine and I love mine. I'm not wearing any sort of compression or surgical bra tho so I dk what yours fully look like. Do you have arnica montana gel or pills??? I've been doing all that and that helps with my pain and swelling too!!! Best of luck girl! Keep us posted!!!!

I thought i had a high tolerance for pain but I guess not. Haha. No one has the same stats as me!! This is amazing. Boobie twins!!! Oh geez. My mom took my 2yr old for 8 days. And I took 2 weeks off from work, just in case. Thank you!! They feel like they are going to explode. Are yours hard to the touch? Mine are. And idk if it's because of how swollen they are or what. How come you aren't wearing a compression bra? Don't need it anymore? I do not. What is that and where do I get some?

haha I know I love having someone same stats as me! Mine were very hard to the touch and still are...not as bad as they were the first week but now that I am 12 days post op they are a little softer.. I still don't push them hard because they are still a little swollen and hurt too. Not bad..but just a little. But it's all starting to soften up and lower a little bit now that the swelling is going down. The Arnica Montana you can get at any health food store I think. I got mine at a local healthfood store. If you go...just ask one of the workers if they have anything Arnica gel or tabs you put under your tongue! It helps me!!!! I take the little pills and rub the gel on my boobs about 2 to 3 times a day!! My doctor does not want me wearing any kind of bra of any sort for 6 weeks. I've been letting them all out naturally and only wearing tank tops and stuff!
