So after 5 years of begging my husband to let me get a BA he finally said yes!! October 29th I have my consult and I love my doctor! I am currently in a 36B and am going to hopefully go to a 36DD MY PS told me I could go up to 550cc if I wanted! Husband is a little worried about the size but I know he will come around. After all, I'm doing this for me, not him:) my surgery is set for November 7th and right now I'm a wave of emotions and am still doing to a ton of research to make sure I have everything ready to go! Oh, I'm also going with textured saline implants under the muscle. The count down has begun! Any info would be greatly appreciated! I'm go glad I found real self.com! It's been so much help reading all your reviews!

My wife had breast implants and I am sorry to burst your bubble but they almost killed her.She is still very ill and had emergency surgery to both have them removed and then to remove the infection that caused her to become septic.Since getting the implants, she started developing problems within 3 months. The doctors did not know what was causing her illness after we repeatedly asked if it could be the implants. After 10 years of illness that caused her to become totally disabled-my wife was a young 38 year old who before the implants worked out 3 times a day with me.She is a registered nurse in the newborn nursery and I am a retired nurse anesthetist. The doctor who operated on my wife was in Atlanta,Georgia and she now takes care of patients with breast augmentation complications. She had implants and also had problems. She has written books on the matter. Her name is DR.Susan Kolb of Plasticos Reconstructive surgery. Please look up her site on the internet as you will gain so much information from her than I can give you now.My wife remains ill and do not believe that the FDA and others are really concerned for your health. This is a 1 billion dollar a year enterprise and women's health is not being looked after.I know you want these more than ever but let me give you a picture of what we have gone through. We have been to Danville regional hospital,Duke University Medical center,Raleigh-Duke Hospital,Johns-Hopkins,7 neurologists,2 neurosurgeons, more different meds than you can imagine, and my wife has had seven breast surgeries due to complications in relation to the breast augmentation. If you go on sites of people with breast complications, you best be warned. Some women have no problems but even the manufacturers will tell you that the implants will start leaking immediately after being placed and you will probably have to have them revised within 10 years.Good luck on your decision. My wife and I swore to try and help women not have to go through the complications. Please look up DR. Kolbs site and read, read, read. She is a plastic surgeon who does breast augmentation but gives you more info than you will ever get from another doctor!

I wanted to be clear that Dr. Kolb was not the surgeon who did the initial implant surgery. She did the capsulectomy to get rid of infection, etc.

Did Your Wife Get Saline OR silicone..my grandma got silicone after having her breast tissue removed due to cancer then later she now has lupus. ...So I Think It's from THE Silicone Saline IS supposed To be safe and salt water the body can, absorb????

I got saline implants because I felt more comfortable putting that in my body versus the silicone

I just tried to find your Dr. on the American Plastic Surgeon Society and could not find his name. Make sure he is a qualified plastic surgeon and not just an MD . He only has 3 reviews which is also questionable. Just do your homework b/c you could be heading for a nightmare. Better safe than sorry.

My plastic surgeon has been doing surgeries for 33 years, he is the one who started the plastic surgery center and was very good. They have the circle symbol all over in there office. I was referred there by 2 ppl I personally know that went to that center.

Got my papers in the mail for surgery yesterday. So much info, defiantly glad I'm going with them! Even sent me a thank you gift for being a patient:) the count down is still on and each day it creeps closer the less nervous I am! I booked my hotel today, one with a recliner so I can sleep (or attempt) to sleep upright and on my back... I'm a stomach sleeper so this will be a challenge all in it's own. But I'm excited for my adventure and new bigger boobs! 33 days!!!

I'm really lacking the upper fullness and volume that I want and that goes with my frame. I'm 5'4 and 180lbs with wide hips and shoulders. In pictures I ALWAYS push my arms in, this pushing my chest together making it look like I have more there. I don't want to have to do this. I have plenty of breast tissue my PS told me, that the saline is going to be a good fit for me:) yay!
