This place is the best, Shanel and her team know what they're doing and they genuinely care. Not all micro needling is created equal and I learned that the hard way, I am grateful that I found this place. I had a serious problem in a hospital after a severe mistake by a doctor and team of interns, the inflicted injury had stopped my body's ability to regulate fluids and in 1 day I had put on over 100 pounds of water weight–I had to be put on a special IV to fix the problem but the damage was done... My skin had literally ripped open and I was bleeding, it was actually horribly painful and I wasn't able to walk or my skin would tare until they managed to get most of the water to go down. I was left with severe scars to the point where I had to surgically have skin removed but couldn't get it removed from all areas affected. My remaining scars would best be described as severe stretch marks of which dermatologists said there was really nothing that could be done. Thankfully, through research, I learned about microneedling and THANKFULLY I found Body Sculpting spa and Shanel! My results were miraculous, each time I got it done it was a huge improvement!! I could fit a finger in some of them they were so bad and now they're literally just gone in most of the area. I want to do a little more just to get them to completely disappear in all areas but even where they are now, they're DRAMATICALLY improved, if being scientifically measured I would guess it'd be like an 80-90% improvement. I bought packages in sets of 3. After my first 3, I looked like a different person, it was incredible. I took a long break because I had to get that surgery for the skin removal, then I went back to get my other 3 sessions plus for the scar from surgery and had the same amazing results which I'm actually still seeing improvements on because even though you see drastic improvements quickly, your skin keeps rebuilding for a while after! BUT here's the thing... before I went back to get my second set of 3 sessions at Body Sculpting Spa, I had a friend talk me into going to another place because both she and I would get a discount due to her referral (this was a very good, reputable place with a really good doctor in charge whose staff did the microneedling that type of work), and that is how I learned the hard and expensive way that not all microneedling is created equal... I got one set of 3 sessions of microneedling at this other place and my experience was horrible. I saw no significant results even after all 3 times and due to mistreatment by the original girl doing it, they even included plasma in my final treatment. They didn't cover all areas and missed big spots all over, they only went over even severely deep scars once lightly, they never set up a long enough time frame for the amount of area needing attending to either, and despite my high tolerance to pain and despite the fact that they didn't go nearly as deep as Shanel does, the pain was horrible because like a lot of places, they use a typical low grade numbing cream. 3 of their microneedling sessions was truly not worth ONE microneedling treatment by Shanel and her team. And I'm not blaming anyone (although I did have one bad experience with the first girl who did it, but everyone else was nice and did what they were supposed to), the problem is, I learned, is that is the way most places are trained to do it. It's more about "rejuvenation" at a lot of places, not making dramatic improvements and treating deep scars, but they don't tell you that... I'm not even sure they understand how to treat deep scars via needling. After all that money and time and pain, I was devastated! I felt so ripped off to be totally honest. I had planned on that last set of 3 from the place my friend talked me into trying, to be my last for a while but it virtually did nothing, maybe it accomplished what microdermabrasion would have which I could have done myself, cheaply... but again, no significant improvements from the other place. My experience at Body Scuplting spa was entirely different... Shanel is so experienced and well educated on microneedling and truly knows what she's doing as does her team. In fact, they can answer questions about how things work, why, etc. They are so thorough and concentrate on the areas with detail, it's not just a generic brushing with a needle with them. They know what reaction they're looking for in the skin and they make sure they get it. They always schedule me for extra time so it's NEVER rushed. If anything I would say they go above and beyond. They go deep and yet you don't feel it because they use a very high quality numbing cream, and I've seen dramatic results after every session. I also love this spa because they are just such cool people. Shanel is awesome and so is Jess! I've had a great experience with everyone working here and as I've already pointed out, they're great at what they do and they genuinely care and it shows in their work. There's no pretentious vibe like at a lot of other places which I personally really appreciate. And it's a very clean place with a great atmosphere which is always nice. It's much more comforting and relaxing than the medical room ambiance you might get at medical spas. I should also point out that Shanel could have made more money off me for another thing I was interested in but she was honest and said it wasn't necessary and why. It's also cool that they have good deals happening all the time but overall their pricing is really fair in general. So microneedling has been a miracle for me when I was told there was no hope, but if I had initially gone to a different place and not Body Sculpting Spa, I wouldn't have known how amazing it is and would be at square one right now which honestly would have included a severe case of depression. I'm grateful for this place and would never go anywhere else. After my first experience here with mironeedling, I was telling everyone about microneedling. But then after learning about the difference in microneedling treatments from different places, I started telling people about how awesome microneedling is from THIS PLACE (Body Sculpting Spa), not just generically.
