Got tired of my 92 year old mother ragging on me...

Loriflanks
WORTH IT$5,950
Got tired of my 92 year old mother ragging on me about my "spare tire." No matter how much I exercised, I couldn't get rid of it.
Not only is Dr Richards highly credentialed and skilled, he is very caring and concerned about his patients. He did a fabulous job and I'm so happy with my results. In addition to the tummy tuck, I had some fat transferred to my face to fill in some lines and hollow areas in my cheeks and make my lips fuller. People are already telling me that I look forty, and my brother just asked me if I had a "boob job!" LOL
Dr Richards' patient coordinators, Dawn and Misty, were very knowledgeable and helpful in my recovery and adjustment to the new me.
This experience has made a great difference on my outlook on life, and Dr Richards is my PS for life!

Wow, thank you for joining us and sharing.  We would love to see your before and after pictures.  How has the recovery been to date?

February 24, 2016
Yes, I will share pics. Personally I don't have any pics but today was my 5 wks check with Dr. Richards and they took after pics. The difference is amazing. I was to embarraced to take any pics before. I really just wanted to crawl under a rock somewhere. Not anymore!! The first week was pretty rough but by now it was all worth it and the first week is like a distance memory now. I can now get into clothes that I wore 29 yrs ago. In 5 weeks I have gone from sz 12 to sz 6 and am loving every minite of it (and yes, I really did save some of my favorite clothes from that long ago because I loved the colors or the memories I had wearing them. I always thought that someday I would get back into them. I am having soooo much fun now putting them back on and them fitting perfect again. lol It's a wonderful life Thanks to my wonderful and gifted Dr. Richards.

Wow that is an amazing size change, I am so happy for you.  I know what you mean about the before pictures. It's very hard to look at those after the fact.    Anything you can get would be great.

Congratulations on this being a wonderful life changing experience for you. I am pleased you mentioned your age. I am in limbo as to have the surgeries done that I need and am 67 years young.

Well thank you, after seeing my results, I really wish that I had done long before. I was at the point in life that I was feeling like it is to late to do anything about it. Boy was I wrong!!! I feel s0 much better about myself and life in general. I just had my five week check up today and they took pics. I have no before pics but I asked Dr. Richards if he would share the ones he took before. He is going to email me all my pics and I will post them so you can see the before and afters. It will amaze you! Are you in Vegas?

Do you live in Los Vegas? I'm wondering what it would be like to travel away from home for a tt - how many trips required, etc. your ps sounds awesome! I'm 60 and all tummy with chicken legs, butt, arms, etc! Time to change that. I'd be thrilled to just be able to wear regular jeans again !

Sorry I didn't answer right away. I have been out of state with my Mom. I missed RS and no wifi access. I live in a small town that is 55 miles from Dr, Richards office. It is about 8 visits all together. Two prior, 1 surgery, the next day post and once per week for three wks. then 1 month. Also depending on your drain removal (i went three wks with one of my 2 drains). I totally understand it is a life changer!!

Hmm, sounds like too much for a long-distance "tt affair" with your awesome PS! Congrats to you! You look wonderful!

Yeah, I don't understand how so many ladies go out of country and get work done and go back home in a week or less. I don't know any surgeon who would want to take over the work that another surgeon has performed. I'm not sure how that works. The thing that I also looked for was my Dr. was all inclusive so why loose out on that? Thank You for your compliment any I wish you the best on luck in finding a great PS near you.

I live inVegas and considering this plus upper eyelid .
Just worried about the down time and of course pain and bleeding! I'm 58.
March 1, 2016
I had my upper eyelid done when I was 40. It was very fast healing and basicly not painful. Now for the TT, you will definally need to take it easy to get your best results. I am a doer and It was hard not doing my usual chores but it is very important to take the needed time to heal for your best results. I had no bleeding except for what was going into my two drains (they were a bit of a pain). My incision was very thin and no draining or oozing from it. the pain was an issue for the first week but you will have pain meds to help with that. For me it was more of a concern that I was very comfortable with my doctor and I was. I didn't want to feel dumb by asking a dumb question. In my opinion why wait? get it done and enjoy your results sooner than later. I wish I had mine done sooner instead of buying clothes for years to hid in. for me I feel that was sad. Since you are in Vegas get a consult from Dr. Richards. I love him. I would like to adopt him. lol

I have a question for you as someone about to schedule consults for a TT - do you feel like it lifted the skin on your thighs? I have some loose skin on my thighs but it's so minimal i feel like a thigh lift would be extreme. I'm curious if a TT will help it - your thigh area looks better afterwards in the pics.

Also you look great!!!
February 27, 2016
I don't think that the TT affected my thighs. I did lose 20 pounds on my own by dieting between the before and after pictures, and I think that is what you are seeing. I was unable to exercise during that time, but I'm looking forward to resuming my 30 minute walking exercise next week, plus some biceps and triceps exercises.

Oh alright, thank you. I just realized your age and had to make sure i read it right. You look wonderful! It must feel amazing to no longer have the excess skin. I can't wait.

I too have considered the arms surgery (Branchioplasty Bilateral) plus it is quiet expensive! I live in the desert so when it starts heating up and it's 80 degrees today. I start wearing tank tops when I am working outside in the orchard and working in the garden, but I also really don't want the scars so I am hoping to build up my arms so they don't look so bad. I don't know if that is possible but I am going to give it a shot. Getting old isn't for the weak of heart. lol I hate the thought of looking like a shrivled up prune if I can help it. lol I am excited for you to have your surgery. For me the First week was the worse after that I just know that it was a waiting game. Each day got a little better. Today I putted some weeds and I need to go back out and prune some fruit trees. Up until now I have had to wait to heal I didn't want to do any damage to myself. Also since I I lost weight I lost my booty. I just have wrinkled skin back there. Oh, I almost forgot. I am 5'7" and weighed 160 and I now weigh 140. My goal is to get down to 135. Any other questions don't hesitate to ask. P.S. Boy is it fun going shopping again. I Love it. lol

Hi you look great. Hurrah for you in doing this. I am also 69 but my 92 year old Mom thinks I'm fine but she doesn't see me naked. I want to do this around July. Your body looks similar to mine. My arms are like yours but I won't get an arm lift as I don't want the scars. I hope you have more pics to share. I'd like to hear more about your journey through this. I am 5"3' and this morning 138# and still working on loosing more. What were your weight and height? Bless you for sharing with all of us.
February 27, 2016
Oops, I thought I answerd "your question". I guess someone else will think I am really nuts. I am going to try working on my bicepts and tricept with weights. I am 5' 7". I was 160lbs when I had my surgery and I am around 140lbs now. My goal is about 130 - 135. When I lost weight I lost my booty which I am not happy about and was not able to do any exercises for six weeks. So now I am going start back walking 39 mins. a day. I will post some more pics. as I progress on my journey. So keep in touch and my you be richly Blessed in your journey.

Thx for answering. I have lifted light weights for awhile and gave up. I'm probably doing it wrong. One of the PS I saw said I've lost too much elasticity and no fat there so who knows. No more tank tops probably for me. You don't have far to go to reach your goal weight, you'll be there before you know it. I don't have a booty to start with I've always been small except my boobs. Now they have gone south. I will have a TT and some type of BL/Aug. Happy to be following you on your transformation.

Hi There, Thank you for your sweet encouragement. I wanted to share with you something I have found and have started using. I am beginning to see improvement on my skin on my arms, butt and legs for the crepey skin. It is a product by Beverly Hills MD called Crepe Correcting Body Complex I have been using Lift + Firm Sculpting Cream for Face and Neck. I just ordered Brown Spot Corrector. I am very impressed with their products. I am going to San Jose Del Cabo in April so I want to be able to wear a bathing suit without being ashamed of my body. They are not cheap but neither is surgery and then there is the recovery, you know. You might want to check them out. They only sell online. It is www.beverlyhillsmd.com
